It's now known to be not by Mozart, but by Fliess, so K.350 no longer exists!

It is a lovely melody though, sung as a folksong in Austria and Germany.

I am indeed sorry for saying this and I know that whoever wrote the lullaby deserves acknowledgment. But when everyone is bickering over the writer it becomes clear that there is no proof who wrote this.

A very simple, yet hauntingly beautiful piece by Mozart. I imagine he thought this was no big deal at all, probably scoring it in but a few minutes, yet showing again to the world why he is a singular talent unrivaled!

The hand of God was evident in the music of Mozart, without a shred of doubt.
