Everyone who was a part of the movie has said the same thing Arnold is same: the drama was dressed up for publicity. Bodybuilding competitions really aren't that heated. A docudrama is not a complete dramatization. It's a combination of a documentary based on true events combined with dramatization, which this move is. They didn't memorize lines, but they did improvise scenes. For example, Ken Waller has mentioned he improvised lines in the football scene based on suggestions the directors told him (ie: stealing Katz's shirt) He didn't actually steal Kat's shirt. I have seen what Lou said about this movie. He too has said the feuds were exaggerated.

The directors themselves call it a docudrama. Take it up with them if you want. Lines were written in the sense that the director had things he wanted them to say. But because they're not professional actors, they just improvised along those lines. I never said Arnold and Lou were great actors. The football scene was shot months after the competition. It was not all 100% real. Would you like me to find you an interview with the directors saying there were parts that were staged?
