  • The skanky old hag from the Mature Dating advert on the right of screen is putting me off my treacle pudding and custard. Make it go away.

  • me encanta. FANTASTIC Track!

  • Still a great song after all these years!

  • @vanwykwd Bryan Ferry still looks great after all these years.

  • Timeless!

  • Dear Vevo: Something essential and immediate is lost when I have to sit through a commercial of some asshole singing country music to watch a Roxy Music video. Talk about a buzzkill.

  • @chaddvanzanten It's called AdBlock. Look into it :)

  • love this song!

  • pure glamour, outstanding music......brian eno for sure.

  • it doesn't really matter that they didn't break in US, they still remain

one of the most influential bands.

  • @pietrogutta Roxy Music is 1 of the most influential bands in modern music. They're probably the 2nd most influential band to come out of England. As a whole America never got it but there were a few pockets,Cleveland, Detroit. Americans like their music simple and predictable not what you're going to get with Roxy. Every Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry song is an event. In Cleveland I've been to every solo/group show since 1974.I was 19. I'm now 57. I guess I'm addicted.Nothing like it.

  • great

  • fuck this song is hot!!!

  • Awesome

  • @MrSuperiority well i will have to check them out . . .

  • @MrSuperiority i am a proud american but very ashamed of my people for their lack of love for roxy music. the band only really caught on over here when they released 'love is the drug'. forget trying to find the first four albums on vinyl - in fact, i had to buy my beloved copy of their debut off ebay, as i have to this day never seen one in person stateside. however i admit i do love the exclusivity of being an american roxy fan. it's an elite club, which in a way a band like them deserves

  • love you roxy from isarel tel aviv

  • Simple... i HATE vevo !

  • Deserves 8 digit viewing figures this absolute classic rock track...

  • A fav of mine; love the bass player. So many brilliant songs. It's a shame America didn't go for this.

  • yeah its rocking man

  • he is from washington tyne and wear is it, thinks its tyne and wear. went to college at washington or something like that, for those of you who are asking. tonight i am been a oracle!!!. lol

  • @dogsbalearics he studied Fine Art at Newcastle Uni and he was from Washington :)

  • What a song!

  • yep you're on the money.... the coolest roxy tune by far

  • As soon as the music starts, I picture the character Gene Hunt, from Ashes to Ashes, coming out of his office as this song plays. Loved the show and this song too.

  • うを〜〜!!これも号泣もんだで!

  • @woosryusei כן dude גדול שלה

  • I love to listen to this when I'm driving in my truck. An absolute classic

  • bombsta1973, nice story, what a soundtrack to welcome a newborn!

  • Musically and instrumentally they are a class above anything coming out today, The amount of different sounds incorporated into there music is amazing. Very good to listen to with headphones and picking up on the array of stuff they do. very unique. you don't get that with todays performers.

Don't have time for the gaga's of today, overrated. Adele is an exception. just a personal observation :-)

  • Pure class, unmistakable Ferry, one of their best songs. I'm going to dig out my Roxy Music cassettes and listen to them next time in in my Mk2 Cavalier!

  • @raincliffe

Thanks for giving me a great big laugh. Nice one!

  • this is one awesome track reminds me when i was driving to hospital to see my beautiful girlfriend give birth to our baby boy at 1 in the morning at 100 mph lol

  • love this thanks

  • always reminds me of the "long good friday" with Bob Hoskins been driven off at the end looking at pierce brosnan and say "fuck"

  • By far their best song. Perfect

  • I bought a video of 80s songs and this was on it......I was hooked! The origional video is so cheesy-Hes drinking champagne and it freeze frames : ) Some of the facial expressions lol ; )

  • Amazing song. Terrible video. I love when Ferry walks off with his cig toward the end, though. So cool. :)

  • look at the bottom right of the screen at 2:16, he forgets the words lol

  • Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooow ! I want this played at my funeral...

  • Love the bass sound in this video. Wish I knew more about how to get it on mine.

  • most underrated song of roxy music

  • ¡¡¡ Me encanta !!!

  • Roxy Music great band specilay early 70's stuff

  • Hehehe, He sang ''nothing lasts forever'' as he was walking off with a fag in his hand

  • @tigerfeet666 when i first saw that, it really used to annoy me because i used to think "how unprofessional" but now i just think it's brilliant :)

  • I listened to this record until I wore out.

  • Ooozing in class, this song is beatiful. An example of what songwriting and structure should be.

The actual lyrics wouldn't fill a notebook page. My number 1 song of the 1980s.

  • great song

  • My favourite song by Roxy Music. It reminds of the movie "Times Square". :)

  • this song brings back the taste of clove cigarettes

  • This is a real song.

  • love it

  • Brilliant tune.

  • I love this tune so much :D

  • I like it.

  • This song explodes with sensuality...can't get enough of it.

  • THE ELECTRONIC TEMPO A NEW SENSATION BACK IN 1980. ANOTHER IMPORTANT SONG FROM ROXY MUSIC. VARIOUS GROUPS CAUGHT ON A FEW YEARS LATER.

  • reminds me about 1987 ,in the coilnmill lodge , poleglass in belfast :)

  • what a song

  • youve got to give it to the old git. cool as fuck.

  • Masterpiece!

  • i also like the low tech video-let the music do the talking rather then the image and the "talk"

  • fantastic ..... thank you .....

  • What an incredible tune...This band were well before their time when it came to music.....You can hear their music in a lot of today's bands...

  • 3 screens for Bryan and 1 for the band... that's about right

  • This and Bowie's "Hero's" were the start of the Synth Pop / New Romantics, for me.

I can leave this on auto repeat for a good 30 mins.

  • This and Bowie's "Hero's" were the start of the Synth Pop / New Romantics, for me.

  • It's all soooo damn seeeexy!

  • It's all soooo damn seeeexy!

  • Unless I'm fucking Brittany I don't give a shit about her. Show the damn video!

  • Hey VEVO, who flippin gives a shit about Katy Perry? We're trying to watch a good vid by the great Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music.

  • Well I've learned something today....the drummer hangs to the right. ;)

  • @MyCatsBreath You mean bass player?

  • The sea is a tiny drop of water. Look over there, there's something for you. Unwrap the universe's mysterious treasures immediately only if you need it badly! vIVA! CoCo-VaUgh!

  • Heard this on Ashes to Ashes ^_^

  • @rockguitar2012 same massive Life on Mars and Ashes To Ashes fan here. watched both shows about... 4 times through every season.

  • So cool, this video would probably not be allowed if it were made today due to Brain having a ciggy smoking away by the side of his keyboard, in fact ima go light up now I don't care if I die now cos I have heard this song.

  • class

  • Best british band in 70´s and 80`s.

  • The sound of some tracks on Flesh + Blood seemed to suffer a bit from not having the propulsive and galvanizing drumwork of Paul T and I think this one was one of them. The band did not quite nail this new synthpop style until their next and final studio album Avalon.

  • @industrialsun

I disagree, Roxy Music nailed they synthpop style THE best with 'Same Old Scene' and 'Angel Eyes'. HANDS DOWN!

  • Haunting!

  • Roxy please play this live in London at the O2

  • Fantastic tune.....reliving my teenage years...again, LOVE IT !!

  • My most fave RM song - the base guitar makes this....

  • my favorite Roxy Music song

  • Sexy. Whole thing, can't quite put my finger on it just what but it is.

  • If it wasn't for 'More Than This' - this track would have been Roxy's finest hour for me. As much as I love 'If There Is Something' and 'Both Ends Burning', I do love the smoothness of 80's Roxy.

  • reminds me of the old days makin up TAPES for girlfriends;-) i hope they never compared them cause nearly all had this song on it! what an old romantic i used to be.......

  • @aruss100 Back then you must've been a New Romantic though ;-)

  • inperation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pukka vibe

  • I love this song.....I love it more since i saw it on ashes to ashes...isn't it terrible how you forget a great song until u hear it again?

  • @sarbur1 This song and that bar scene were perfect!

  • Brilliant song.

  • 3:23 Ferry Leaves ,band continue = WIN! great stuff!!!

  • yep i agree, their very best song ever !!! deep and sexy...

  • The same old scene over and over and over again. It's always the same old scene. Brilliant performance, smooth and agressive, one of my RM favorites!

  • the smooth old bastard. my favourite roxy music song too.

  • My favourite Roxy Music track...Good to see Gary Tibbs on bass pre Adam and the Ants.

  • @jd7373....so THAT's who it is! Been bugging me for years....he's also featured on the 'Ain't That So' video, so must have done some work on the 1979 'Manifesto' album as well.

  • @jd7373 Alan Spenner played bass on the recording. Gary Tibbs is just miming.

  • Come on guys..... You have to admit it. This is a bloody good tune. Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry.....you guys are fantastic. Respect.

  • @ImBigRich1970

    Don't forget Eno!

  • Well. There it is.
