They need to upgrade UrT to a better engine, used to play alot of UrT back in the day but the quake 3 engine just looks like shit now. It's over a decade old. 'Tis a shame they wont make it a standalone for a different engine cause it was just so goddamn fun!

@therealsix6six6six6 Maybe... I reckon the team behind it could easily improve the Q3 engine now. Keeping the particulars of the games physics is important to some of the community, but graphical upgrades are already being made in the Alpha of the HD version of the game.

@Milkzoid Yeah the physics are what makes it fun to play, sliding and jumping off walls and all that. It's critical in the low-grav giant maps server I play on. There's only so much that the Q3 engine can do, it's 12 years old. It was top of the line back in the day though, I remember playin Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament GOTY on a 537 MHZ havin a friggen blast.

@therealsix6six6six6 theres no other engine that has this kind of movements and speed. theres no other games that you can move at ten times the normal speed and do triple wall jumps. also, you would need a good gaming computer to render things at these speeds of movement. it would jsut be a blur.
