thats the advantage of being very simple, you can survive almost anything. these are as simple as a motile animal can get. no body cavity, just a few neuron nodes, two single pixel eyes, a chemodetector, and gonads. I wonder though, if they can survive if you cut them lengthwise.

I found these guys in my aquarium when I fed my newts a lil too much food during a snail population explosion when they ate all my Anacharis, grrr. Forced me to clean the tank and cull the snails as there was so much snail debris. Tho I never felt the need to try and make them regenerate into more lol.

T H Morgan showed that a piece of planaria corresponding to 1 / 279 of the original creature could regenerate into a whole worm. This is generally accepted as the smallest piece that can still recreate a full sized creature.
