This video clearly displays the beauty of blasting. Anyone can learn to blast, but it takes an artist to do what Pete Sandoval, George Kollias, Flo Mournier, and of course what Derek Roddy have done in their careers. Drummers like this have brought brutal death metal into a realm of it's own. Much respect!!

Drums are meant to keep the beat, right? Normaly the beat is based around a simple 4/4 beat then adding some improviastion. But this guy... he's keeping the beat, using two hi-hats and two base drum pedals and styling it his own way until his eyes fall out.. its not just some guy whacking some symbals.. this is a drummer who knows how to drum.. and fast.. cool dude :)

But... every video I see, including this one... all he does is glorify everything he does with machine-gun bass and snare... there's more to drumming than doing constant 32nd notes with your bass drum and snare.
