@purplejim8 I think his original artwork was far too cliched to be honest. Maybe not for a vampire hunter mind you, but to me he just looked like a generic barbarian in that stuff. This one looks a lot more original, and fits in more with the "current" art style. Unfortunately said art style usually has the male characters looking quite girly lol. I think it works well enough though.

@HeavyRecon6 Just for the hell of it I think. It's a remake of the original, so it isn't set in the future or anything. I like a lot of the music in the other CV games I've played/seen, but this is the only one I've played where I've liked EVERY track. It makes playing the game a lot more fun than it would normally be, and takes a lot of the frustration out of having your ass kicked lol.

I'm not really a fan of this type of music, especially when applied to Castlevania themes. BUT, for some reason, this tune fits this level of this game perfectly.  Wouldn't work as the theme for stage 1 of the original CV, or any other CV game, but for this game, it fits perfectly.

Every time i play Chronicles and my friends want to try i say "Manly version or Gay version?"

The Arrange removes the difficulty a bit. The biggest removal of that mode is no jump back after being hit. just straight up.

its ok buy symphony of the night is alot better and this game is like the first caslevania (upgrade whip 2 lvls, cross, water etc.) but symphony of the night is better beacuse it has differnt weapons and it has familiars but this song is the best in all the caslevania songs

I don't know about you guys, but to me - this one stands out on its own. Not only is the game a class of its own, but the music as well. :D One of the finest (to me the finest along with Dracula X Chronicles) games with the best soundtracks.

...On another note, the techno themes feel approapriate and was a great idea for a remake title. It adds something of a party atmosphere, while it retains enough familiarity to assert it's dignity as a classic Castlevania track. This game was likely meant to be taken far less serious than originally intended on the NES. It emphasizes action done in the traditional Japanese anime since. Weather you want to admit it or not, it makes a fine theme to go vampire slaying on!

This wasn't exactly the greatest remaking of a Castlevania classic, I always wished they would have sandwitched all three NES classics into a 2-disc compilation complete with a timeline and bestiary...kinda like FF Chronicles. Although Konami failed to pan this title out more, the remixed track was a surprising delight!
