I don't agree with forgive and forget. Because, what if the same thing happens again, like say he or she hurts someone close to you like a relative. I know a proverb that goes something like this.
Rebuke a wise man and he'll love you. Rebuke a fool and he'll hate you.
But, forgiveness and forgetting are two different things. Forgiveness helps you grow as a person. Hate just eats away at your soul.

My friend this day and age girls are now different. The girls hurt me and I remember every single bad thing they did and I can't stop thinking about it. SO when we argue the women dont care anymore and move on. Guys nowadays have become what women were back then emotionally....at least with me being a muslim and all the girls I met. I think the main things to keeping a marriage is to know the responsibilities before getting married and to know that couples do face hardship. Also, do ur part even if ur partner is not, bcz ur showing that ur dedicated to ur marriage and of course Allah will reward u by increasing love between the both. Last but not least, patience!!! Don't be so quick to raise ur voice even if ur partner does, just be patient and that will help the other to calm down, and inshAllah khair :)

If you do not find them relative to the state your in right now, you might get married and wished you had some sort of guidance to understand your partner. I actually love these videos. InshAllah may Allah guide us and give us patience.

All women are not "vases," they may be physically, on average, smaller but to speak of them as being weaker than men is not right. mu mom used to be brutally beaten everyday by my father and it is not one slap or two it is kicking, taking the head to the wall and etc. my father used to call my mother for a whore, ugly (she is really beautiful) and etc. My mother lived with him in 15 years and you might wonder why, it is because she wanted to have a job and live in sweden but she was from a muslim part in serbia in a really poor city and people was really mean to my mom. Today my mom did divorce and forgave him.

@falastinibabygurl If it is pointless to you, simply do not watch and wait for another video. It is important for many people if you did not know that. Beside, it is half of the deen, which makes it MORE important. And brother Ali does not just make videos just to entertain people, he does them to make a difference and to address the problems of the ummah insha Allah. This is one of them, so he needs to mention it. Btw, yes he is married Alhumdulillah and has kids.

I really like your videos, but I don't agree that women are the ones that keep grudges and that men are so easy going!!!! I know plenty of men that also have problem forgiving AND forgetting. you made it seem like men are easy going and women are the ones that dwell on past fights which is just not true. it depends on different people so please don't generalize.. esp when so many people watch your videos and might get the wrong impression about Muslim men and their outlook on women. =) A'salam

@tabs728 If you listened to what he said carefully, he said "a woman is MORE LIKELY," he did not say that all women keep grudges. And what he said is true, it does not mean all women are like that. Men have their own issues too. But women do have a good memory on average in keeping stuff.

@falastinibabygurl I have to disagree with you. These half of our deen videos pertain to people of all ages. If you do not find them relative to the state your in right now, you might get married and wished you had some sort of guidance to understand your partner. I actually love these videos. BabaAli, I really love your videos, but I was wondering if you would make more videos similar to your older ones that are more relevant to teens later on?
For example how a Muslim teen should act in school. Or how a Muslim girl should deal with someone asking them out.

@falastinibabygurl I am sorry, but I don't think this video is pointless. Every single video he shared in YouTube has their own life lessons. If it doesn't have any relation to you now, it may have relation to you or even help you in the future when you're married.
Also, "forgiving & forgetting" is applicable to not only husbands and wives, but also to young teens these days.

i dnt agree that women forgive less than men, i am a women and i'm a very forgiving person, when i have arguments with my friends i forgive them in literally five mins, i used to hate that about myself cos i am so soft but i found comfort when i read somewhere that if you are a forgiving person than on the day of judgement Allah will be just as forgiving. i have had VERY HURTFUL and BAD arguments with friends bt that still hasnt changed our relationship.

@baygrl518 I agree with you. I can't speak from a woman's point of view, but I thought some of his opinions to be a bit demeaning to women. All women are not "vases," they may be physically, on average, smaller but to speak of them as being weaker than men is not right. That's not to say that you should be anything but loving and caring for your partner but to treat them as a fragile vase makes them sound childlike.

mu mom used to be brutally beaten everyday by my father and it is not one slap or two it is kicking, taking the head to the wall and etc. my father used to call my mother for a whore, ugly (she is really beautiful) and etc. My mother lived with him in 15 years and you might wonder why, it is because she wanted to have a job and live in sweden but she was from a muslim part in serbia in a really poor city and people was really mean to my mom. Today my mom did divorce and forgave him.

yo man, your dichotomy style of questions are misleading. You should put a spectrum rather than a yes and no answering system. At the end of the 10 questions, it was like one cannot look at his answers and say that is me. You have to give spectrums on qualities rather than are you rational or creative. Are you shy or social. What if a person is both shy and social like a shy of 3/5 and a social of 3/5. So a person doesnt see himself as shy but also social in the right time and situations.

Unfortunately, most of our parents don't tell us what to expect when we get married and we rarely hear any type of marriage tips during Jummah so I decided to dedicate the new season to the topic of marriage. Although I launched my new matchmaking site Half Our Deen, my goal with the project is not just to help people find each other but more importantly keep them together.

@7thPlace JazakAllah Khair. I've actually made 10 videos so far and will be releasing one a week (on Friday). I hope to make at least 20 videos InshAllah with the hopes that I can make a difference. Marriage can be challenging so I hope the few things will help those who are searching for their other half and even those who are already married InshAllah. The divorce rate is pretty bad and I really hope these videos help.

@EternalGreen2012 Muhammad (pbuh) did not write the Quran. The book is simply to great for a human man to write. The Quran was written by God. You have all the right in the world to question the legitimacy of whether the Quran was written by God, but do you not think that there are rational Muslims that would question your question? So how do we know it was written by God?
There are many scientific miracles such as the growing of an embryo in the mother's womb which 7th century men would not...

Remember Muhammad (pbuh) was a man that was illiterate. In addition to this, the arabic text is constructed in a way that no man in the world could have written. If you listen to the Quran in arabic, you will see that the whole Quran is written in a beautiful rhythmic melody which while it contains all of it's rhythm, it still does not...

@EternalGreen2012 ... compromise the message that is being sent to the people. Many lines in the Quran are palindromes, e.g. in english race car is a palindrome. However this is just one word. Many LINES in the quran are arabic palindromes which is immensely difficult for any man to create, let alone to convey the messages while keeping the line a palindrome. And thus there is no possibility that Muhammad (pbuh) could have written the Quran.
