I just froze a flash drive in liquid N2 and it was still able to read data a few seconds after I removed it from the liquid.

And no, most things don't magically shatter like you'd think so... Quarters won't do anything, but a penny can shatter. I would think that most of the damage done to an electronic device would be from differences in contraction/expansion rates of the materials inside.

you can put liquid nitrogen in your mouth, it floats around above the mucus layer and feels like sucking on a liquid ice cube, you can blow smoke bubbles n all, its actually pretty cool, just don't swallow it.
