  • that moment at the trabia basketball court...the turning point of the story! *nostalgia*

  • Oh you'll find out! I'm about to summon it!!!

  • most underated final fantasy ever

  • @xSege123x some seasons would need to be for 2 GF's or more depending on the storyline and the extra GF's which are side missions in a way. like the hidden GF's which are not really part of the storyline since you have to look for them yourself if you want the GF's in the game. anyways, its just my opinions and my thoughts but i think ff8 would make either an awesome movie or an awesome show.

  • I wish Final Fantasy VIII narrated my young adult life...

  • Christ this song is sad but that the time some how it wasn't i find that strange.

  • 2 people were told to "go talk to a wall"

  • @DanTheMan8819

hey wasn't it that scene between Quistis and Squall after the SEED celebration on CD 1? ;D

  • @Infanterietrupp That's the one!

  • The one highlight I remember from listening to this: Squall's "Then go talk to the wall" line.

  • I like 1:00. It makes me sob sob and made me think about Quistis.

  • Man, this song is awesome T_T

  • "You've all heard this before. How life has infinate possibilities. I dont believe that one bit. There weren't many paths for me to chose, sometimes, there would only be one. From the limited possibilties I faced, the choices I made brought me this far. Thats why I value the path that I chose. I wanted to hold true to the path that HAD to be taken. But I dont mind, its not like I drifted here on the tides of fate, i'm here because I chose to be here."

  • @Phoenix1664 from irvine, nice, i like and remember that one too

  • "Go talk to a wall."

  • My sister played this game and while i really enjoyed it she wasn't into it as much. She got stuck at a part where her team was too weak or something and couldn't get any further.

So i've decided this winter, when it gets too icy, cold and snowy outside, i'm gonna play this and play til the end!

I don't think i've experienced it in full or like i should have.

  • Go talk to a wall

  • does this song only play at the scene in the training center? its so brilliant.

  • I want a threesome with Quistis and Rinoa.

  • @tubenachos haha who wouldnt

  • this makes me wish I had my ps1 with me at college

  • Quistis says that she thought she loved Squall, but then realized that it was more of a sisterly love when Rinoa came in to the picture. My thought on this is that she put up a front because she thought she had no chance anymore, but still loves him in a romantic manner.

  • somehow this song reminds me of the magic in a child's mind

  • go talk to a wall Quistis.

    Haha <3

  • Quistis is hot :p

  • Quistis has always loved Squall like a brother. I think she was struggling with that. Quistis didn't know if she should cross that line and really have a heart to heart with Squall because she was his instructor and that would be "inappropriate" and "unprofessional." Man...I love this game BUT I WISH they would have developed the supporting characters EVEN MORE.

  • @moua64 Quistis thought she loved squall like a husband and wife love each other, but it wasn't. She was confused. She really loved him almost like a son and wanted to see him grow like any mother would. Even though she's only a year older than him, that's what she felt.

  • @justa16thnote No, she loved him like a sister loves her brother, not like a mother...

  • I`m amazed nobody has said "Quistis disliked this" yet.

  • @DanTheMan8819 Quistis disliked this

  • @DanTheMan8819 Quistis disliked this

  • Quistis is much better than Rinoa!

  • Talk to a wall? Sure, I do it all the time. And sometimes, just sometimes. That wall will talk back to me. Does this make me crazy? o_0

  • @NotCareBear Ugh, no not at all! Everyone hears voices, but not everyone hears them loud. I, for example, hear voices when there are a lot of people talking.

  • @NotCareBear no. someone is on the otherside. you just didnt know

  • Poor Quistis, Squall was really a jackass in that scene. "Go talk to a wall", man I was like: You asshole!

  • One day, i will play this in the dark, watching a city in a far distance.

  • it's very relaxing

  • 101 yeah

  • This musical piece is great...its more advanced version of Balamb Garden's theme:i remember that each time i was playing the game(i finished it Several times on 100percent)this scene made me cry,as it showed how Squall wished to be allone because he was afraid that he will lose his friends, and didnt want to experience it.

I remember how Quistis wanted to open her feelings in Training centre of Balamb Garden, and Squall said something like "go talk to a wall" :)

  • @SiegmundHildebrand YOU like blowjob?

  • Well,FF 7 was more mysterious, you know, especially when we first saw Jenova in Shinra tower, and when Cloud had that flashbacks and all.....the design also reminded me of Cyber punk etc.FF 8 was more romantic story, but i love them both.

  • This reminds me of when we were all in Trabia Garden, thinking about simpler times. Back in the orphanage, where we all grew up. Poor Selphie, Trabia had just been blown up recently by Galbadia. She lost some friends, I did my best to care for her.

  • @SDPaldora1

    That sounds amazing:'D

  • and Squall did tell Rinoa everything. He gave his heart at the same time too.

  • 92 people are open with their feelings

  • @darthgrahf 100 now :D

  • The story was amazing on this game, and it could have easily overshadowed FF7 if they didn't have the GF system, it was way too time consuming and ruined the game imo. I'm sure other people think differently.

  • @RndmGui Yeah the story is great in the game. Though as you say, draw this and that really made the game kinda boring. Still a fantastic game though.

  • @RndmGui draw gf system and junction...also limited magic were the things that made the game annoying to play time to time...i agree whit youu

  • This is one of the themes which notes directly are labeled:

"Final Fantasy VIII - Most epic and emotional touching Final Fantasy Game there was, is, and ever will be"

  • I remember when i got to trabia on disc 2, and the story unfolded about the charicters past, the orphanage, matron, the GF memory loss, sis, the connection Quistis had to Squall, dislike Zell had to Siefer, and the closeness between Selphie and Irvine, and that thier resolve was too fight. I remember this scene and this music playing, and getting goosebumbs, and all i could feel was total euphoria. Its was such an peaceful yet epic moment, i felt that moment like i was on top of the world. <3

  • @Phoenix1664 - :) I agree.. I always get carried away at scenes like this... [sigh]

  • @Phoenix1664 I loved that part too... but my brother HATED it haha. He just wanted to play the damn game XD

  • @Phoenix1664 love that part

  • Pure epic tranquility...

  • "Then go talk to a wall."

    Poor Quistis :P

  • I remember seeing this part of a FF VIII walkthrough and was so mad at Squall for being a real jerk to Quistis.Talk about cold hearted....

  • This game is not tragic? The whole game is not, but I think that Laguna's story, and he plays a very significant role in the game, his story is pretty tragic, hence the amount of time in the ending video that is devoted to him.

  • Yeah, I enjoy watching Quistis open up too. Rinoa too.

  • @R8erNation636 I have to say, though, finally seeing Squall smile at the end and realizing that he has come to terms with his life and is finally at peace was pretty damn satisfying.

  • Uhhh... read of what I wrote one more time. Read it carefully.

  • @R8erNation636 Awww, I missed your text sarcasm! Oh man, what a drag for me. Your witty rebuttal also made me feel sad. I think I'm going to go contemplate your superiority to me and cry for a week. c;

  • Jeez, it's not that serious...

  • lol whut

  • Ho yeah baby ... ho yeah

  • im gonna watch the eclipse tonight and listen to this... yes i know im a dork :P

  • this is the one song i've been looking for since i've played the game when i was a kid. it's the type of tune where you can just look up at the skies and the moon. see the stars and make a wish... i want to hear this song when i turn 21, go on a date, or married or probably in order lol but still this type of tune can really bring the old memories back

  • This is so wonderful.

  • Squall: Go talk to a wall.

  • beautiful music

    for lovers only

  • My Fav part was when i frist got the game thru i finshed the game :)

  • Quistis, aside rom Squall, is the only one who acts like an adult. She's mature, intelligent, sophisticated, pragmatic, not to mention beautiful(inside and outside).

Her only major flaw is that she has difficulty dealing with her emotions.

  • Squall telling poor Quistis to talk to a wall. Man, that was rough. He was an idiot sometimes.

  • @TheNewEmphinix true but i loved that because it made the change he went through throughout the game bigger :) FF VIII was truly one of the most inspiring stories! I write stories of my own and FF VIII till this day remains one of the biggest sources of inspiration for me personally

  • @niroj28 YOU LIKE BIG BOOBS ???

  • @coincui You don't?

  • @niroj28 that's great of you to write your own story. what kind of story you wrote? well since most of your inspiration source are from FF8, it will surely be one of my favorite story.. :D

  • i thought it was interesting the way Squall acted. He was kind of a jerk sometimes, but he didn't really mean to be, he just didn't know how to deal with feelings. And it turned out that he was really just afraid of losing his friends like Ellone.

You never know about some people.

  • Ah.. the training center place facing Balamb Garden at night with Quistis after the dance. =)

  • This reminds me alot of Quistis. Even though it is personally sad to hear her chat with Squall about her past and regrets, she felt very real in comparison to the other cast due to that moment of interaction with Squall. She had a history and wasn't ordealing with the same issues the other crew faced. Reflecting about it now, makes me appreciate those odd moments, despite the fact that I hated HATED the way the main character reacted to her. Damn Squall. >:( Your like an emo college kid.

  • @WaffusSyrup you like resident evil games,,,???

  • I hope everyone that listens to this song makes them feel good or just helps them relax =) it helps me alot when im down and especially talking to my girlfriend =) i like you so much Abby <3

  • @SeanTheBeast111 makes me feel so romantic towards my girlfriend. I wish life was like this game. I've even quoted parts of the game to her trying to be romantic, saying things such as I wont let anything happen to you, I'll be your knight. Lol how pathetic am I please.

  • @Jimmo777

That's not pathetic ;) You can see your life as a game well ôo

Well not THAT really but you have to fight protect your family and look for them. With every exercise you done you can say "Almost Level up!" :D

It's not so different u see? (Ok the Magic and G.Fs i wish there where true tooo^^)

at the other ones: take something out of every final fantasy game :) there not only for fun at this world :D

(sry bad english, german FF Gamer)

  • @Jimmo777 I think that´s actually pretty cool. I did the same thing, only my movie that I am living by is Rocky 4. It´s pretty cool to hear somebody else "lives" FF8 like I did.

  • Like I've said before, I hate how Squall just pushes her away and ignores all her problems.

  • キスティスとスコールの会話のシーンですね。

  • Poor Quistis..she really felt useless... :(

  • yes meet quistis at the "secret" area haha then id go and we end up where there are a few couples kissing and lying around haha it was funny!

  • This theme is played when squall and quistis meet in the secret area, Reminds me of the pursuit or perhaps hope for something more and of course that quistis has lost faith in herself and we missed her prime when she had cool attire and kicked ass. still a very good character though

  • Quistis theme? matches her seriousness

  • This plays in the training center on disk 1 one Squall is taking to Quistis and he tells her to go to a wall.

  • this is so romantic!! <3

  • this is what made this so different from FF7. IT was less tragic and more of a romantic story. Which kind of lost the attention it deserved because of it possibly.

  • I really liked the romance idea. It was a war-themed, time warping Romance! Come on!

  • I like any idea really...this is what made it so interesting. I mean would we of all played another FF7 only with different characters? LOL!

  • Well I think, FF8 is defintly the best part of all.

  • @Volgin93

yeah your correct they are not quite focusing on the problem side of it

  • @legnasin People don't like it because the main character's sword isn't big

But even though it has a gun in it it's still not good enough X_X

  • @burningsoul89 The whole gun sword thing was kind of cool they could of worked on the whole thing a little bit more but you know this was back around 1999 dude! lol

  • @legnasin Yeah, VIII was a lot lighter. To me, it was a little weird for the series to move forward as a romance story in VIII after VII was extremely dark, where you had people and some of the cast dying from left to right, not to mention being notorious for having one of the most saddest death scenes in gaming.

  • @Katana991 In my own opinion FF7 and FF8 were the best stories.I really didnt like 9,10,11,not even 12...but i still have yet to play 13.I played just a little bit of it and so far im interested.Just gotta put more time into the game.lol

  • @legnasin I always thought it should of been better received for that very reason. I mean, there were lots of hidden messages in this game. Like how, when you get kicked down, you should get right back up and continue fighting. Like, when he had Rinoa taken away from him, but quickly realized he'd raise hell to get her back.

Also, despite the odds of survival, He went and risked his life to save Rinoa in an act of selflessness. Lot's of tugging heart string moments. I prefer it to tragedy.

  • @legnasin the romantic themes were refreshing and welcomed by many, but that awful battle system was it's main downfall.

  • EPIC!!!

    That was a great time....

  • Such a sweet theme

  • THANKS ,

    REALLY BIG THANK TO YOU

    <3

  • One of my favorite songs from my all time favorite game.

  • Me too ^_^b

  • I think whether Quistis is coming on to Squall is deliberately ambiguous. I think she just wanted to confide in Squall since he seems like her most mature student - too bad he's so mature that he's a total jackass to everyone until disc 2.

  • I totally identified with squall.

  • yea me too, also we have the same Birth day xD

but seriously, he was always the character who I related the most with

  • So emo? Haha just messing.

  • @Sagensyg

    Go talk to a wall.

  • Comment removed

  • @Sagensyg

I was referencing the game, dumbass.

  • @Charmolution Really? ;__;

  • Yeah then again Laguna reminded me of me too much.lol!

  • Ist beautiful , i like this video

  • I agree beautiful, makes me reminisce

  • so romantic, i love it!
