Definately my favorite drummer of any genre, if I ever hear anyone mention Joey Jordison again, I will show them this video and watch as they die from pure unadulterated technical skill...
He's underrated as a drummer and a musician. He wrote almost all of Tourniquet's music and even records other instruments on some of their tracks; track 15 (America) of Crawl to China was recorded solely by him.
I think that anyone who has listen and played some music, know tha this guy is agreat drummer and he his underrated by far, despite his great hability to play drums.

No, he's actually he is way OVER RATED....he has horrible timing and his double bass playing is far from perfect....just listen to all of Tourniquet's albums. And by the way, this solo blows, and I can think of a whole shit load of drummers that kick the crap out of this guy.
What the heck are you talking about? Any music enthusiast (or any one who knows how to truly play drums) knows this guy is great. And how can he be overrated when he is not all that popular? He's only been in Modern Drummer Magazine twice. Also, he does Polyrhythms, something I bet you don't know about unless you googled or wikied it.
There's a part in "Convoluted Absolutes" I believe, in the album, "where Moth and Rust Destroy", the double bass is in triplet patterns. The only guy I've seen do it as precisely as he does it on that song is Mike Mangini. But yes the earlier stuff, the double bass is slightly diminished quality.
I listened to all tourniquet's album and found them to be musical and lately simpler and yet beautiful in a musical sense. It's not the old thrash metal of the past, but at least there is a sense of maturity to their music. Ted's drumming may not be like Neil Peart or Mike Portnoy, but as a drummer, we should respect all and give credit where it's due. Ted Kirkpatrick is not just a great drummer but a great musician too!
I have to agree, I've been a fan of Ted's since the Crawl to China album, and even the stuff before that album were great, it's still my favorite. Anyways, He really is a great musician, he writes most of the songs they play, guitar, drums, and lyrics. Dude's a musical genius if you ask me. :)
Ted is really an excellent drummer, but above all he`s a great christian musician!!!
Praise the Lord!!!
