When you look at your companions portrait in the bottom left if there is a little icon next to it hover over it then it will say if they want you on your ship or in a cantina
When you say this game is like WoW, all you are doing it revealing to us your age. Before WoW there were other MMO's which WoW stole their ideas from. Which i have no problem with, i prefer my games to steal ideas from each other to come up with the best game ever. But to actually think that WoW is the MMO that defined the basics of how MMO's operate is wrong. Before WoW we had EQ, DOAC, UO and all sorts of shit that had almost the exact same system as WoW made in the 90's.
@NeccoWecco you obviously dont know anything about the game , you can craft alot of stuff , for an example , when you reach level 6 you may craft your own lightsaber , and you can change it , color , core etc.
So where is the actual crafting... what about people who love to craft, now there is nothing for them. Basically, it's like automated factories. And why have companions in an MMO, companions are friends, not NPCs. Really disappointing.
@NeccoWecco You are able to craft still. I think what bioware will do is if you craft instead of your companions the XP for that crafting skill will be more. I like the idea though.

For all you know, you may be able to craft yourself as well, you might have that option. There are quite a few nuggets here that by themselves are full of win and if extended and developed further would just rock the planet.
Since before UO while I was in college, I remember being in IRC land and the subject of multiplayer games allowing 1) a COMPLETE and robust crafting/trade system and 2) a useful economy that is enhanced or even depends on crafting and not just a static 'magic' system of endless materials, middleware pieces, or fully complete end weapons, armor, etc
And another thing in my humble opinion this game will beat WOW atleast 3000 to 3 simply because the game provides richer story,richer voice acting, diffrent game policy which i dont think it will be addicting the player to death in order to consume his credit card dry and ofcourse its all about StarWars that was created long before Blizzard even became a company in that sence WOW should prepare himself to be departured.
Interesting they took the crafting idea from Diablo and plugged it in swtor, now i imagine after watching this our Blizzard boys are heating their heads in how to improve WOW even MORE in order to mantain their position as a leading MMORG provider or else take the second position.....
Come on Blizzard no KING LIVES FOREVER, sooner or later you will have to give the throne to younger more decent companies.

I am positive that there will be a monthly fee. However each class has it's own story with (what devs have said) more content then all bioware games combined. Per class!! That's like 8 KOTOR sequels in one $60 purchase, with at least $14 monthly fee. That's a lot better then previous triple A titles.

@goruu Nobody can blame you for being skeptical. A company that's new to MMOs, stylized realism graphics with mixed response, and stiff competition in the market really makes it hard to see this game breaking the mold. But Bioware have a reputation for shattering expectations, and stylized realism has been shown to work as a viable style (TF2, anyone?). I see this game doing very well. Bioware is a crowd-pleaser. They know what'll bring in the big numbers. And besides, hype = preorders.

@crowspears I don't understand the hype over guild wars 2. It DOES look like a fun game, but it also looks like a cheap and simple game that you will play and enjoy for a month and then move on (like a typical console game) The fact that it's multiplayer might add to it, but since there is no gear progression I don't see people sticking around after they've leveled. So in finale, Will it be a good game? Probably. Will it be successful? Probably. Will it overtake it's competitors? Definitely not.

@crowspears Well that's fine, but either way nothing you've stated is fact, I mean, unless you can actually provide some kind of evidence to substantiate your claims and for that to work you would have to be able to:
-Show that GW2 has more reviews than TOR
-Show that these reviews are all positive
-Show that each one says the game is better then TOR
and you cant, so you've lost, end of discussion later.

@crowspears I don't understand the hype over guild wars 2. It DOES look like a fun game, but it also looks like a cheap and simple game that you will play and enjoy for a month and then move on (like a typical console game) The fact that it's multiplayer might add to it, but since there is no gear progression I don't see people sticking around after they've leveled. So in finale, Will it be a good game? Probably. Will it be successful? Probably. Will it overtake it's competitors? Definitely not.
