  • This was actually pretty interesting. I got one on eBay for $2 and $5 shipping, came from Cupertino, CA, of all places, and had some heat damage to the plastic... I was afraid to open it. now that I see that this is all it takes... I'm a little less frightened by taking mine apart. it works, but sometimes errors up and needs to be restored... I thought I'd poke around inside and look for corrosion and such... and possibly also replace the battery, and, of course, give the gem a thorough clean.

  • @spartanhill id verify its not just the earphones if same on another set then ur jack is screwed prolly hafto jus buy a new one they cheap

    had the same problem. i opened the shuffle like shown in this vid. then i found a pin disconnected and soldered it. now the ipod is working again.

  • It gave me an idea of how it looks like when you disassembly it, but I don't think this would be something I would try on mine.

  • you probably damaged the ribbon cable inside. the only way to fix that is with a new usb jack with a new ribbon cable attached.

  • i dont htink thats it cuz i just checked with it and the cable was fine and when it ran out of batteries it charged again

  • rofl. ive dropped my nano hundreds of times. btw any other music player thats not suposed to be solid and construction worthy breaks much easier than apple products. get a case. it wont break.
