The Goody brand works well, I got a 6 pack from Wal Mart and they really do last. I don't like the no slip ones though, becuase I find that the rubbery surface is too much tension on my hair when I try to slip it off. The regular, goody ouchless soft headbands are a life saver since I used to spend 20 minutes trying to get all my hair into some type of barrette. This I can do in 30 seconds now.

@Shadiyaray I have the same problem... So instead I use a knee high stocking or if I use those band things just push it up until its moreso on the hair rather than your head... Good Luck

(Btw, after a year, if I pull down a section in the front, it's just past my nose, my sides are at my jawbone, and my back is just at the top of my collar bone. This is when it's in it's natural curly state; not blown out or anything. My hair is the same "texture" as Mae's).

Hey Mae i have a huge question! lol i am actually going natural.... but i havent post any vids yet. But i have very thick and kinky hair and i dont know what product would be good for rough hair like mine especially the edges . I brought carol's daughther shampoo and conditioner but i dont think that would really help. A lot thinks just because i am light skin that i would automatically have curly hair so not! lol i would love to make my ends curly or put something on my edges. Any suggestions ?

I gotta say, you and your hair is gorgeous! I transitioned for 14 loooong months then chopped off the ends. My hair has recently passed my shoulders (when it's straight, it's getting so long so fast!). I am having so much trouble getting it clean and detangling it. I'm standing in the shower longer and longer and still find sections of shea butter on my scalp!(ew) not to mention painful detangling. Any advice? I have a headache just thinking about how I am going comb my hair in a few minutes...
