I'm guessing most people brought it in their own regions since it makes the most sense. Alex lives out in Japan so makes sense for him to own a Japanese unit :) As for how are you meant to read the language? Learning and education is your friend there. It's quite a fun language to learn and once you have the basics the squiggles will soon have meaning.

Ill answer for you- No bugs as of yet. Ive had mien for a month, and its amazing. Runs fast, and havent encountered any problems except for the top screen is a little wobbly.

Alex brought a Japanese (note the 'es' instead of the 'iz') DSi as he fluently speaks the language and more importantly, lives in Japan. It would be rather silly of him to wait six months to import one from the UK, and then deal with the hassle of an imported unit (Buying a plug adapter, importing Nintendo points and having to import any DSi exclusive games).

download itunes and put the songs in itunes

then righte click the song in itunes and click 'create an AAC version' or u can download a format converter and change the format to m4a

ACC (Advanced Audio Coding) is a standard term relating to several formats which all work in the same way. This includes: .aac, .m4a, .m4b .m4p, .m4v, .m4r, .3gp and .mp4 .

Shouldn't be a problem playing any of these.

The menu is region locked, which means the menu in Japanese means its a Japanese DSi. In English will obviously mean US. The games are NOT, again, NOT region locked, just the systems.

In English does not obviously mean a US unit. As the name implys, English is spoken in England, the UK, Australia, and many other places, each of which have varying units.

Also, your statement about games being region free is partially wrong. All general DS games should work on any unit, but DSi Enhanced and DSi Specific games contain parental controls information which is incompaible with different regions.

Check the product code. It should say TWL-001(JPN)(EUR)(USA). It should say (USA) if it's an american unit. If you buy it in America or from an American retailer, then it will most likely be American.

I want a DSi, and I have a router, but the router does not allow me to play with other people. I have heard that the DSi does not have to be connected to a router, but that it can automatically connect to a nintendo connection. So does that mean that I can go on the internet, play with others, and download wiiware in like the car? Please reply!

You need a wireless internet connection in order to connect online. Therefore if you re not in range of one a wireless connection, you can't connect.
