i saw this movie last night! It is the next day and my heart is still stering. I cant help but think i want to be a better father! With Jesus Christ's help i can!
So when do you guys feel this movie will be done and ready for distribution? .. or are you still filming? .. if so, how can I be a part of its creation? :-) .. Seriously though, if you guys ever plan on filming on another script on location anywhere here in Southern California, count me in, I'd love to put my technical skills to work toward the type of work you guys are producing. The quality of your films are getting better each time ... Looking forward to Courageous' release!
my only hope is that all of these films don't focus on JUST the men. Fireproof had a lot of that in it....so I hope they do MORE than just men/dad stuff.
its amazing how some people can watch something and completely miss the meaning..everyones a critic with no understanding of the time or money it takes to make a movie..you have to remember this is only the fourth movie made by provident films..i personally think their doing an awesome job with the budgets they have..flywheel,facing the giants,fireproof and now courageous..awesome job as they get the experience and knowledge of making movies..
As a christian who truly believes in the message of films such as this and Fireproof, I have to say that I understand where yogurtking is coming from. Why do Christians settle for such mediocracy in the arts such as film and music. We should demand the same standard of scripts, acting, cinimatography etc. As the secular world does. There is no excuse for Christian arts to be second rate. Jesus deserves excellence.....I hope this film is a step up.

from the makers of Fireproof? So we can expect the same cliché and platitudinous script and painfully wooden acting as we receive a fundamentalist religious message barely disguised in a film? Can't wait!

It is good way for people to express their need for Christ, even if they dont know it. You should pray for him/her and encourage him/her with the gospel message. These videos arent just for Christians, how dare you be so selfish as to keep Christ to yourself, it is Christians with your attitude which lead non-believers to think we are all hypocrites!

@yogurtking I somewhat agree with you. I saw the movie fireproof twice in the theater. I could care less about the quality as much as i care about the message. To me this isn't a religious movie. Being a christian isn't about religion it's about a relationship. Religion is why 2 buildings came down on 9/11. Jesus tells us to love our enemys. Salvation is a gift that is offered to each and every one of us. It is our choice to accept it or not. I miss God in my country.
According to the Times magazine, mothers spend an average of half an hour per day with their children. Fathers ONLY 15 minutes. God wants to heal families. And this movie comes in the perfect time. This culture is in such a huge need and hunger for God that it's sometimes painful to watch. Fireproof has been a real blessing to marriages around the world. Courageous will be a real blessing to all christian families.
Just got back from a showing of this film. It touched my life. I haven't laughed and cried like that in a good long while.
