The have made an excellent recording of their live performance for OLP Live DVD, they are great live.

The recording device??!! They used state of the art hardware and software to to put this together. The soundtrack was off the mixing board, you can't get any better than that. The editing was brilliant; look at 5:07, the last note of the song, and see how it hits you in the face. The sweeping shots over the audience are breathtaking, and they convey the energy in that massive crowd. I don't see how this performance could be captured any better, unless it was in fucking 3D, or something.

I agree, I think it was really skillfully directed, and the band and audience put everything they had into it. I've seen them do this live from just a few feet away, and I filmed it; I'll have to dig it out and see how it compares.
