There are ceritaiin chemicals that will do that but you can still dye your hair when pregnant and not hurt the baby and she did. Maybe it was before she knew though too.

i think its about a couple who go and visit some relatives, then when the girl sees the black haired boy she falls for him and the brown haired notices and tries to get her back. Then the black haired calls her and hangs out but then falls for each other then the brown haired boy finds out and i think at end that the black haired boy had another girlfriend who was pregnant with his baby.

but what do i know lol
