I like the Sega Genesis sound font because of its reminiscent style of late 70s and early 80s R&B which some call funk. Then again, the 90s was a time when the 1970s had a movement of nostalgia, and the Sega Genesis satisfied that wave of nostalgia well. I get a feeling that there was a higher percentage of African American players of the genesis, than of the SNES because of the R&B influence.
