my japanese sensei says it's jade green that particular kanji (碧) should be translated to. Yes it does have the same 音読み as 青い (which is translated to as blue). But, if you have gone thru' some college-level japanese courses, you should have known the fact that same pronunciations of different kanji characters doesn't mean they have the same meanings...

By the way, the correct song title should be Blue Rabbit. The Japanese word 碧 (Aoi) means Blue, but to the Chinese, it means light green.

あおいも緑色の意味がありますよ。表記によって若干違いがあります。
碧いっていう表記だったら、浅緑から濃青緑の色合いに言う。
ですから、light greenも間違ってるとはいえない。
