and i wish we had good drivers like this in the middle of fucking London. i nearly got hit yesterday because an idiot slammed his brakes on when he changed lanes right in front of me because he was driving shit and lost control >:(
@iloveextremesports1: When the surface is as slippery as it was in Wales, sending more torque to the front wheels would be kinda stupid. You get less traction out of curves and the car would also get more understeer.
The time-sheet says that Henning was 6th on the stage, 35.2 s behind the winner: Hirvonen. I think Henning was really neat in the first 1/3 of the test, then he seemed to lose the rythm a bit. It looked like his notes might not have been precise enough or perhaps he tried to push a bit too hard. His car is very soft with quite a massive power-oversteer: if the driver falls out of the rhythm of the corners or stays too much on throttle on the exits, the car just dances away the time.
And -- what a beautiful stage this is! I love the scenery, and the really long and broad, sweeping slow corners are absolutely amazing! :) The logs placed perpendicular to the curve on one of those very long right-handers was cool stuff, too!
People like you really show ignorance with comments like that, otherwise you would know drivers like Mark Martin, a former Trans Am driver, actually know how to "Turn Right". Do people like you honestly believe thats all they know how to do based on watching a race? How do you suppose they navigate through the paddock out of the garage onto the track or in their daily commutes? I guess by this same train of thought, Indycar drivers are also mentally handicapped when it comes to right turns.
You want to complain about not seeing Bathurst or WRC or Super GT for that matter, blame Fox for buying out Speed and putting all that programming on there, not Nascar. Not being able to see races like that on doesn't justify making unfounded comments like. I don't like that I can't see the Nurburgring 24 Hr race or any Super GT race or an FIA GT race because of Fox whoring their Nascar coverage, but talking crap about the drivers and the sport doesn't help.
Well excuse me if I came off like a douche to you and couldn't tell it was a joke, most people make comments like yours and don't appear to be joking most of the time.
Yep, the same people that give us crappy shows (excluding Family Guy and American Dad) are the exact reason why Speed no longer shows other motorsports.
Both Colin Mcrae's Dirt (1 & 2) are good rally driving but still they are far from simulating it. They are a lot of fun though.

Just shows how different it is from playing it on games.

I think DiRT 2 was a great production of a rally game. Very realistic in terms of driving.

@NinjaRiise
I one wants a realistic rally game: try Richard Burns Rally - almost like GPL (GrandPrixLegends) on gravel :D
TheSeekerII 2 years ago
Ooo might have to try that actually, the only rally games i've ever played are the old Colin Mcrae's and WRC games on the PS2.
Cheers for the tip =p

cool stuff.
he should get his mechanic to change the torque balance and send more torque to the front wheels
so it won't step out of line as much.
