Informative post...thanks for sharing. I haven't ran in years, and yesterday I decided to start again and I tend to tighten up to push for the finish etc. I'll do some skipping to rebuild strength in my arms and learn to relax in my strides
without rope skipping i wouldn't be that fit... 3 minutes before muscle training (15 minutes- benchpress, biceps etc) and 3 after the training, that's enough to get a powerful body if u don't eat 2 much

ok in track your arms are definitely not more important than your legs in the general perspective of a race.. are you retarded you run with your legs not your arms. yes you need to pump your arms and keep them at a constant angle in sync with your legs, but how can you say that that is more important that the things you run WITH. and youre supposed to keep your upper body relaxed when running youre not supposed to be clenching up.
