What motor/servo system are you running for the wing retracts? Do you have a lockout system to prevent wing load from over coming the retract system while pulling g's?
@jeepfreak0iii0 I posted this for Pappy883 (that is his user name on RC Universe) so you can ask him yourself. Join rcuniverse, com (it's free) and search for folding wings or send him a private message (pm).
Note: This is NOT a kit but hand built by a friend of mine who goes by the online name of Pappy883. You can visit rcuniverse, com and send him any questions you may have there.
I have the real floor drawings of the whole aircraft when my dad worked for Vought. They were throwing away all the old WWII drawings and I got them out of the trash and took them home. must have been late 1969 or 1970. even got some A7 drawings. Very detailed for the line mechanics to do repairs off of.
The wings WILL break off at 2.5Gs,Everytime.

He will have to cover it to fly it.

A question from Italy:
Is this made of balsa?
Wonderful plane really very nice job.
E' fatto di Balsa?
Davvero un bel lavoro!

Yes it is made of balsa.

will this still work if you put the monokote and the paint in it
TheAnaspot 2 years ago
Yes, since the wing is in 2 pieces. But it will probably not be finished with Monocote.

Excellent Mechanism! Is your design flight worthy? Does the latch mechanism hold up to flight loads?
I am building a 93" Ziroli Corsair and I'd love to build in the folding wing. Contact me if you are willing to share information.

What engine do you have in that plane? A nice radial?

Just got the Top flight kit. Where did you get the components for the wing folding? Do you have the details for building the wings that way?

Respect to those of you who build such beauties. I like to fly but hate to build. I'll stick to my ARFs.
