  • haha....irish flutes

  • haha......irish flutes

  • Greetings from Ireland Cady... love your vid :)

  • So cool! Matt's old Hawkes Eb, if I am not mistaken. The flute he used on the "black" album. Now, how would you oil the flute in space, I wonder? What are the humidity levels on the station?

  • lol they needed a flute player up there to keep the men happy BOOM

  • Incredible.

  • YES 0 DISLIKES

  • Thank you Cady for the video and your with us all in every parade, Slán

  • Awsome from Galway

  • @randomguyisboard awesome.not awsome

  • This reminds me of "The Inner Light" episode from Star Trek Next Gen.

Is the hair always that way or did you let it loose for the taping?

  • Superb video, and thank you Cady! For myself, you drew a few tears of nostalgia and joy, coupling so perfectly the old with the new.

  • I never thought about hair floating up like that,. lol

  • This moved me to tears. You are a hero. Love from Dublin.

  • Flutilicious!

  • Way good, Cady!

Thought of you last night as our band was playing at Madeleine's.

  • Aweeeeee. I am so jealous of her, because she's an astronaut. :) And my dream someday is to be an astronaut too. But my mom won't let me, but I'll still going to follow my dreams. :)))))

  • This was amazing and lovely.

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • great St Patrick's wishes !

  • Brilliant!

  • Cary... If u get to read this when u get back to earth...(or maybe ye got Internet access on board, u are of coarse that bit closer to satellites!) ...but what's the tune you played at the start? (I used play that tune...makes for a great waltz). Also, that has to be an entry for the Guinness book of records, for the highest distance above the earth to play a full tune without ones feet touching the ground. Mike from Co.Clare.

  • love this video thank you very much and happy st. patty's day to you all at nasa.

  • Penny whistles also appear to be good for propelling yourself around the station.

  • You've got hair like me. haha

  • I love the end where the "lone piper" continues to play as the space craft drifts away at the end... lovely touch! I am very impressed Cady... you did it in a very good spirit!

The sight of Matt Molloy's flute doing circles, hanging in mid air, gravity free is something else! A full round of applause due to all involved - "The old and new" - "Traditional culture beside modern science" ...What a great contrast and a health balance possibly... dont you think?

  • The next Progress craft should be loaded with beer! Happy St. Patrick's Day

  • Fairy girl in space! Go h-íontach!

  • Go raibh mile maith agat a Chady! A million thanks Cady.

As an Irishwoman living in Italy I had heard of you, and your connection to the Chieftains, on Italian radio and it was a wonderful surprise just now to see this INCREDIBLE video. WOW! All very best wishes to you and your fellow crew members- I believe there's an Italian on board- CIAO E BUON 150 ANNI to him! Geraldine (Dublin and Biella)

  • Cady's personality just shines. There's more to being a perfect rocket scientist than just being a talented engineer.

  • awesome to hear music played in space =)

  • I really like her hair style.

  • Wonderful! And a Happy St Patricks Day to you Cady & the crew. You're all welcome in Wexford anytime! Saw ISS from Wexford 2 weeks ago at night!

    Mayor Joe Ryan Wexford.

  • Great video Cady. You deserve a free pint in Matt's pub in Westport for that!

  • awww... Awesome video, but I was hoping to see a bunch of astronauts drinking beer at the space station :P

    cheers from Brazil!

  • Sláinte!

  • glad cady is there to keep us laughing now scott is gone

  • Happy St. Patrick's day!:D

  • Just a question, I see you begin floating around in there without doing any movment. Is it gravity of the earth or the movement of the station?

  • @stiant06 I believe it is Newtons Law. She has nothing to decelerate her, so if she pushes a "wall" slightly she will float to the opposit one, tho slowly, but surly.

  • Happy St. Patrick's to you to! Cheers from Norway!
