But the question remains - what the fuck are they shooting at? Or maybe thats how real US soldiers in Iraq fight - shoot in all directions even when they can't see an enemy. Damn no wonder so many poor Iraqis are dying.

You evedently have no knowledge of modern US Infantry tactics. First off, they can see them in real life, their scopes have high magnification, thats why you cant see the enemy if you watch some war footage. Second, modern weapons are very accurate so you have to fight at long range. If you fought at close range our soldiers would be sloughterd. 3rd, most of the time its suppression fire.

this is operation flashpoint, armed assault is basically the new operatin flashpoint althogh the gameplay was better in ofp than arma but arma has good graphics and what not.

well as you can cleary see they were shooting at the people below them, and they were getting shot back once in a while you could hear a shitty whiz sound but i think they were mainly shooting at the people on the other roof.
