Honestly.....this is a little insane. What were they attempting to get across here? I saw a modernized take on the ending of Don Giovanni which was tasteful and actually conveyed a larger idea. I absolutely adore Verdi, and believe that Anna's voice is positively gorgeous, and Villazon's.. so powerful. Thank you so much for posting this.

I believe that its not right to expect coloraturas from Netrebko who sings with her huge, full voice and open troat. If somebody wants coloratura singing violetta he must listen to June Anderson for example. As for me, I love Netrebkos voice and her ample power in whole diapason.

Just listen to her Sonnambula - Care compagne - from her CD Opera Arias - you would be AMAZED!!! Unfortunately it is hard to find on the internet, but I heard people done this.
