Soooo.....Awesome to see this footage. Snakes was a departure from Amorica n Southern. But was their last studio album with Ford and sounded as if they were searchin a little more than the previous three. From Evil Eye to Bring On, it is still my favorite from the Crowes.
H as been one of top 4 or 5 favorites since the Albums release. Or CD. L.O.L. That's saying alot for me. I love MOST of their stuff. Like one of comments that I read below, guess it has alot to do with where you're at , at that particular time in your life. Thanks for the Post, very nice to hear.
They lose mf twice cause mf didn't want his sobriety ruined but Marc put out the best three or four I should say albums with the crowes including band and all of the unreleased songs are gems too
I was still high on Amorica when this album came out and felt that it was a let down by comparison. Now I love it and can't stop listening to it. Maybe it's a little age and maturity or I finally stopped listening to Amorica long enough to appreciate this album. This has to be my favorite off Three snakes and one charm.
Personally this is one of my favorite crowes songs. I wish I could have seen them with marc ford. Luther's great, but I wish I could have seen this line up.
@skynyrdrocksss love Marc Ford of course but only a toolbox thinks Luthor is not great too. Crowes are making some of their best music since Luthor joined
@ih8tbush Marc left twice - on his own . I think he was givin' a choice the first time and couldn't handle the temptations during touring the second. I think the crowes handled his departure one week before a tour with grace. You didn't hear any badmouthing other than he broke his contract out of there camp.
This song is smoldering, the slide filthy...understated yet threatening! Thanks for sharing this awesome recording! Love Chris' shirt!

Just curious, what was their reason for getting rid of Cease? I love Ford and Luther, just wanted to know.

@nmarti11 He was lazy and wasn't writing any of the leads, kept relying on Rich to write his guitar parts for him

luther needs to pick up a pick more often and let it rip..but he's not a bad player..MF is fukin MF..there is no one else...
tell that to Wiser Time...they've made it from a happy travel tune..to a somber march..
Eddie wouldn't be too proud

Luther is not great. No need to try to be polite. Ford is great. Luther is not.

@windtested Audley was up there too right? I mean don't get me wrong...Losing MF once was a bad mistake, but twice is a travesty!
