  • The only way the DKR will be better than the DK is if Tom hardy puts in the same performance quality of his character as Heath did, and i actually think he COULD pull it off :)

  • @Ikealberry10 he was brilliant in Warrior so he just might :D

  • @Morphjin47 Aye he was and he's one of my favorite up and coming actors im just saying could he create a villain as good as or even better than the joker? :) thats the only way i think this movie is going to be great.... unless Christian Bale pulls a rabbit out his arse xD haha

  • That is why I think the Dark Knight Rises will have no chance of being better than the Dark Knight.

The movie that I'm looking forward to is The Amazing Spider-Man!

  • :( no one can play the joker like ledger he was just flawless in the dark knight

  • @ognimoddd Amen to that

  • Its been more than 4 years since Heath left this world. But he will be in our hearts forever.

its a shame we have to loose great actors like him

    R.I.P ; (

  • 00:40 insert shot of Joker clapping in jail cell

  • @Rivalthedon They're both cool but the movie would be shit because it'd just be Batman catching regular crooks. Boring.

  • Heath Ledger made The Joker

  • Hi make da movie!

  • best supporting actor D:???? BEST UNSTOPABLE BEAST ON A MOVIE i think they meane o3o

  • never liked christian bale..the movie would be shit without heath ledger

  • @phoenix1925 Wrong. The Dark Knight would still be awesome. Christian Bale is a great actor.

  • LETS PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE

  • Send that award to his family!

  • How ironic that Batman wouldn't have grossed Nearly as much as it did had Heath not died... & in the same way, he probably wouldn't have got that award. It was like Ledger dying was the best thing that happened to Batman. He did play a great part though, no question.

  • @001snipe that's retarded

  • @001snipe thats not ironic

  • THE Night is dark because of the joker

and still dark with out him.

  • Wanna know something bad.....if he hadnt died, i doubt they would have given him the award, you know how they awards people hate to give out anything to anything thats not " A TOUR DE'FORCE".

  • Heath Ledger's will: Forever remember me not only as The Joker, but as a true actor....

And I intend to do so...

  • @adyandrey1 He was a great actor. The last ten minutes of brokeback mountain was truly brilliant acting. His character wasn't one to show emotion. But when he smelled that shirt I am not afraid to say that I got choked up. The subtlety of that scene is what made it brilliant. Knowing the power smells connection to memory is what made it heart breaking. That was the scene Daniel Day Lewis made a reference too. Not everyone can pull off that kind of subtlety and emotion...

  • Nolan's great. R.I.P Ledger

  • THE BEST JOKER

  • NOLANS A BOSS REALLY INIT

  • @thedeepakgrover

Writing. Like. This. Makes. You. Look. Like. An. Immature. Teen.

  • @Basketalbi

Oh sorry. I figure that you are unaware of pop culture icons such as comic book guy.

I'll let you get back to being a generic Chris Nolan fanboy.

  • @thedeepakgrover have you seen the dark knight? you can't say that performance wasn't amazing.

  • @moonshoespotter1712

I almost fell asleep during dark knight. The only thing that kept me up was Bale. Ledger was boring and miscast.

Perhaps the casting director should have given the role to someone with charisma and not with a drug problem...Just a thought.

  • @thedeepakgrover lol troll

  • @thedeepakgrover wow really?

You might need to see a doctor. Or try having sex with another human being. You might be able to chill out.

  • @thedeepakgrover p.s. I have no tolerance for fevered egos like yours. If it just concerned you I would NOT care. But you are tainting the collective in ways you will never comprehend.... I truly hope you get hit by a bus. I'm not joking. If I feel the world get lighter I'll know you did ;) Peace out dipshit!

  • @thedeepakgrover FIGHTING ON YOUTUBE IS LIKE THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS. NO MATTER WHO WINS YOU'RE STILL A RETARD....

  • @ryanranger

Maybe you should read a book and become educated.

All I said was that this guy has no talent.

I am not sure how this relates to anything about the special olympics etc.

  • Comment removed

  • @ryanranger

I like how you use the word "retard". Just proves you are ignorant.

  • @thedeepakgrover When I say fighting on youtube that means I'm done with this. Congratulations you got what you wanted. You pulled yet another person into feeding into your insanely ignorant bullshit. Heath had no talent? Oh please do tell. What was your last film? What's your fucking contribution other than saying stupid shit on youtube? That's rhetorical. I don't care or want to hear your response. Seriously, have a nice life. And I'm well aware you're going to need the last word. Go ahead...

  • @ryanranger

I found his "performance" boring and uninspired.

Short lesson: There is this thing called an opinion. Mature people are willing to discuss opinions rationally. Try it.

  • @thedeepakgrover p.s. reading 20,000 Leagues under the Sea right now. what wit. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I should of left it at what one calmer person said "your opinion against the world". I stand firm that you are simply trying to make waves. Tell me: why did you click on this page? Wait, don't tell me. I said I'm done and I don't need the last word. Again, you can have it. So make it a real burn this time.

Take care genius. Let us know when your next film comes out...

  • @ryanranger

***Is confused what I have to do with Heath Ledger being over-rated....***

  • @ryanranger Okay, keep Harry Potter out of this, haha. And you might wanna argue with reason instead of ranting...

  • @rivergirlautner Sorry but I have to disagree. What I said had reason. I DO think he is just trying to play devils advocate for no reason other than trying to be objective but failing miserably. I'm amazed at how easy people are going on someone the world would be lighter without. That's right. I don't think people realize how much fevered egos like his are tainting the collective in ways we can not understand... This transcends a simple disagreement. But I'll leave Harry out of it next time ;)

  • @thedeepakgrover wow, well, your opinion against the world, mate.

I think most people would argue that Heath Ledger definitely had charisma, and played the disturbed, creepy villain perfectly. And his prescription drugs had nothing to do with it. So Ledger won an Oscar for nothing, did he?

  • @rivergirlautner

I am not really sure why he won. I think Nicolas Cage is more likable and talented than this no talent ass clown. I think the word "perfect" is poor word choice to describe his performance. I would argue with something a bit different. Perhaps "generic" might be more accurate.

  • @thedeepakgrover

NICHOLAS CAGE!? Okay Ghost Rider :) HA! Do us ALL a favor: grab a plastic bag. Okay, you got that much down buddy? Alright, now put the bag over your head and breathe as deeply as you can. Eventually you will collapse and the world will be a better place. "I should see a doctor"? OOH BURN! I don't know if I will recover from a vocabulary and wit like yours...

  • Christopher Nolan is the fucking man, ladies and gentlemen

  • 0:31 its Arom Heackhart(the two face)?

  • where i can find some one like you H.L

  • fuck anyone who says he did not deserve every award he won

  • Who is the actress who declared the winner's name?

  • @saintsaens21 She looks like Laura Dern. But I am not entirely sure.

  • @melonseller

    Yep, that's her .

  • 4 years after his passing and i'm in tears watching this. Such an incredible loss. I'm so proud to be an Aussie with the talent we produce.

  • man it will be such an honor to shake his hand. Fine workmen ship indeed... "It's not about the money. It's about, sending a message.."

  • I still remember watching The Dark Knight at the midnight showing and going "Wow!" when I saw Heath's performance. I couldn't believe he was dead. It felt strange but sad at the same time to be watching the movie knowing he had died. Christian Bale is the best looking actor in that crowd.

  • "You never even used those fishing poles!"

  • oscar is very sterotype

  • he was good. not thaaat good. but he definitely left a mark for this kind of career.

just saying. imagine daniel day lewis play a joker.

  • @Gonko100 Your stupid. He was amazing as the joker. Don't be a fool.

  • Supporting actor?

I'm pretty sure he made that movie.

    Just saying.

  • @ClearDuality it doesn't matter...he still played a supporting actor.

  • @Kilox1000 I wasn't kidding or anything like that.

  • @ClearDuality Not even Bale was the lead actor. It's an ensemble cast.

  • @tomroxelf True. Still like Ledger a lot though.

  • @ClearDuality nah, he was very good. But the film was well enough made to stand on its own two feet alone

  • @LucasW180 Again, wasn't a joke or anything like that. >.>

  • very sad moment rip heath another great talent is gone

  • It made me cry. I love Heath Ledger. Love. In the present tense.

  • Christopher Nolan is so cool... I still haven't gotten over Heath's death :(

  • It's only when someone dies, do you truly recognise the effect they've had on your life...

  • It's only when a person dies, do you truly recognise the si

  • lol Christopher keeps looking at the trophy.

  • Not only Chris Nolan payed tribute to him, the crowd gave Heath a Standing Ovation!!!

  • fucking illuminati killed him

  • @mobspeak, lmao

  • @mobspeak wow LOL

  • @DenverYellowStone Believe it or not Christian Bale's performance in the Dark Knight wasn't that great compared to the same role.in Batman Begins or came anywhere close to being as.good as Ledger's

  • Was Angie crying?

  • heath's award was no pity award, he really deserved it. there are only a few actors who can

'become' someone. and heath surprised everyone

  • i wish he was alive in order to performs many more extraordinary characters that he could capable of .. to dazzle us ..

  • i dont WANT heath to rest in peace. i want him to LIVE in peace! why did he have to die!?!? he was such a great actor!! i miss him so much, i wish i could go back in time and save him :(

  • @SUPPORTOUTBREAK3 Because you have no idea how many ignorant retards attribute heaths success to his death just to try and bash TDK. That pisses me off because firstly, it doeznt make sense, secondly, they dont even know who else was nomiated and lastly those dipshits diss ledger's hard work by accusing his win of being a pity award. The man gave us the greatest comicbook villian ever. He deserves respect.

  • Aww I just want to jump into the screen and hug Angelina! her sad eyes are so cute

  • That man, was amazing. incredible joker, so scary so real !

  • Heath defiantly deserved the award but I wonder if he would have won if he was alive. That's something I wonder, cause the Academy has screwed many people over.

  • @SUPPORTOUTBREAK3 You along with the rest of the dipshits that wonder that are stupid. Would heath have one if he was alive? FUCK YEAH! WHY THE HELL NOT?

The award was given for the best support actor for 2008. Who gave a better performance than Heath in that category? Using your brain is a good thing....

  • @regulator619 Why do you have to make such an angry response?

  • Heath in heaven: "Why So Serious, Nolan?" RIP :'(

  • angelina jolie was like damn i wish i had the chance to work with the guy (heath)!

  • Christopher Nolan = best director and Christian Bale = best actor... in my opinion. Heath Ledger was brilliant though.

  • @DenverYellowStone Yes! I agree with all three. :-)

  • I thought I was watching the Golden Globes.

  • <3

  • I loved you HEATH and I will always Love you!!!!!!

  • I miss u.

He has my heart. for ever

  • wait a second. i thought i was watching the oscars.

  • AMAZING!

  • I don't understand how Heath ledger died

  • @4085jones he was taking pills to help him sleep, as well as pills to help him stay up (caffeine like).. you're not supposed to mix them together. Worse thing about pills is that your body becomes adapt to them, making you take more in order for them to take effect. All of these is not including alcohol and other dodgy substances.. those thing certainly doesn't help.

  • so sad that he it´s not there acepting the award.

  • Critics Choice Award???

    Fuck, He deserved an Oscar....

  • @TheRBK21283 he won an oscar

  • @TheRBK21283 Yeah he was 1 of 2 guys to win it after death

  • @TheRBK21283 derp

  • i wish Heath could have seen what a masterpiece he created and i wish he could be here for his daughter, but heaven needs good actors.you are missed R.I.P heath.

  • Rip heath. you were the best.

  • The fact that he received a standing ovation literally made me cry. RIP Heath. We miss you. <3

  • rip heath.........

  • heath ledger's death,more ,is big actor

  • I got shivers when the audience gave a standing ovation.

  • Christian Bale's performance was only seemingly mediocre because we've already seen him play the role in the first movie plus a whole variety of Batman actors in the past...the role is not very overwhelming...Heath played a pretty awesome character but was he a good Joker? Not really...he was a unique Joker for sure. He was a great villian for sure. Did he over-shadow Bale, sure...because the part and character were written and directed that way. "Supporting actor"...yep.

  • @BrokenBard

Bale WAS NOT mediocre. He was excellent. Honestly his stature at being put to his limit by the Joker WAS MUCH more appealing to me. The thing is, these characters do not have as much potential as the Joker. Bale played the best Batman he could but theres no room for potential there

  • @yamisupersaiyan I fully agree. I wasn't saying that I believe he was mediocre...I love pretty much every performance he's ever given (Shaft and Harsh Times aside) and actually believe Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Cate Blanchett, and maybe Daniel Day Lewis and possible Johnny Depp are the best actors on the planet because they actually ACT; different human beings in every role, unlike other actors that are always just playing themselves, Jack Nicholson, Robert Deniro, etc...

  • @BrokenBard

YES thank you. Bale, along with Eckhart and Oldman are so underrated in TDK. The character of Joker is spontaneous so of course the actor playing him has a lot of freedom with it. With Batman/Wayne, Dent, and Gordon? No these character have strict natures which I think these actors portrayed flawlessly. Honestly a lot of people who bash everyone but Ledger in TDK are morons in my opinion. They ALL were essential to making the film work

  • @yamisupersaiyan For sure. Agreed. Not enough people understand what they're watching; they have opinions regardless. People are missing the point of what a good supporting actor or even a character actor is for...they are designed to add depth to the main character.

  • Supporting Actor? Fuck Off.

  • @QuibbyFailed i know right he owned the entire movie batman was side lined for the whole film

  • jurassic park lady

  • Dent's face healed up nicely.

  • @rinraiden That's the director Christopher nolan harvey dent was played by Aaron eckhart

  • @HEYITSJORDAN1 I'm well aware. Aaron was shown on stage at the start of this clip.

  • @rinraiden The miracles of Proactive my friend :)

  • 16 people r too little minded to understand such a beautiful tribute like this one..

  • There will never be another like him. He made the joker his own. He gave everything and maybe too much for this character. R.I.P Heath.

  • I wish Heath was alive then he could have appeared in The Dark Knight Rises. He would have been great with Bane. When I first heard he was going to be The Joker I though no way, he'll never be as good as Jack Nicholson. But damn he was BRILIANT!

    RIP :o}

  • @Kalsingh i didn't even remember jack Nicholson xD heath ledger immediately just pushed him right out of my mind as classic joker. :) thats how awesome he is :)

  • @Kalsingh i know its kinda like the ''right'' thing to do to always go with the golden oldies, and honestly jack nicholson is prob my all time favorite actor, but heath was a much better joker IMO, and its not cos hes dead and that, he just suited it perfectly

  • @Kalsingh that would be cool, but the joker and bane don't like eachother. honestly not trying to sound like a knowitall, just saying. haha sorry

  • @6sam6crow6 Well, either way would have been nice to have seen him carry on his insane ways in this film too.

  • @Kalsingh There was a loooong stretch of time before TDKR was even announced, and after that another stretch before the villain was even announced. From this we can conjecture that Bane was decided in a decided absence of the Joker, therefor if Heath was still alive there would have been a massive chance that it would be an entirely different villain altogether.

  • @Kalsingh sorry but if Bane and Ledger were in the same movie, the movie would be too epic, wed be suffering some trauma

  • @Kalsingh Well, you have to understand that if Heath was alive, Bane might not have been apart of the final film....

  • @Kalsingh Dude its crazy cause i think everyone said NO WAY!! Thats why when u were sitting in the theater watching him u were like, This is the greatest thing ive ever scene.

  • you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villian.

    Heith certainly died a hero.

  • Supporting actor my ass.

This guy IS / WAS the whole goddamn movie. ;)

  • @Vaeviktis Should have just been called "Joker: The Movie".

  • dark knight rules over every movie

  • @BatmanFANization wait now DARK KNIGHT RISES will rule DARK NIGHT..but we will miss Heath Ledger

  • @NeRo7599 i know the dark knight rises will rule over dark knight cuz it's going to be more epic and all that. You're right we are going to miss Heath Ledger but i will miss Christian Bale and Chris Nolan the most 8 years they have been the part of our lives and now it's over. amazing 8 years

  • @BatmanFANization i wish some more comes out after this muvi also from Nolan n Bale

  • @NeRo7599 me too but i would love the most that Bale and Nolan stay on this franchise

  • @BatmanFANization hmm,me too,i wil be eagerly waiting if another part of THE PRESTIGE releases

  • @NeRo7599 It seems that we will continue to monitor the work of Nolan and Bale and i don't think so that Nolan will make Prestige 2 i heard maybe Inception 2 but who knows for me is the most important thing now when it's all over that we must get new Batman movies and JLA movie as soon as possible With God's help with Bale n Nolan.

  • we should give a credit to Christian Bale because he is the best Bruce Wayne and Batman

  • The dark knight was actually more of a JOKER Movie . no wait....the movie itself should be called : THE JOKER .

  • Actress on stage: Nolan, Honey, we love you!

Nolan: Shut up, Baby, I know it!

  • It's not about money, it's about sending a message...everything burns!

  • This gives me goosebumps....

  • angelina jolie DAMN i want a piece of dat ass

  • @christian1o812 yup. i didn't intend for my jaw to drop while watching this video.

  • WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE?

THAT DEEP DOWN, EVERYONE'S AS UGLY AS YOU?

  • Comment removed

  • Can we PLEASE leave religion out of the comments? Seriously it seems like any video I watch on youtube somewhere, somehow, there is ALWAYS a religious argument going on down in the comments. Please shut up, keep your opinions to yourselves and stop trying to shove your beliefs down someone else's throat. Love your God the way you want to, but keep it to yourself please. Let's try to have some respect for people.

  • @RedHot10592 God didn't say to keep it to yourself. and if you believe the Bible, what God says goes. so your argument is invalid. and i hope that i've alerted you to the reason as to why religious arguments pop up everywhere.

  • @blklightning330 Bible? I think you mean the Quran.

  • @blklightning330 What happens when you DON'T take anything the Bible says literally?

  • @MrIHunter1 you are looking at the wrong side of the coin. i would say that in general, those of us that believe the Bible are the ones that start the arguments.

  • @blklightning330 I don't agree with the Bible, and I've found that your statement is true. One question though, why the fuck are we talking about religion for THIS video?

  • @blklightning330 Well then in if you're going to take that view I don't believe in the Bible. So I guess that means your argument is invalid.

  • @RedHot10592 THANK YOU

  • @neekstarr

Way to prove to all of us you're just a little kid.

  • did he die?
