  • "Ravishing" Rick Rude (R.I.P.), "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff and "Stunning" Steve Austin vs Sting, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and "Flyin' Brian" Pilman (R.I.P).

  • this is classic wrestling....

  • was it me, or was Steve Austin better in terms of actual wrestling and athleticism in WCW then he was in WWF/E

  • The Brain..... lol!

  • i don"t know why vince never used guys like orndorff 2 there full capabilitiies the crowd liked him he was a good wrestler but he never held a wwf title 2 my knowledge i know the world title was saved 4 hogan but paul could"ve made a good i.c or tag champ.

  • I was there....I was eight years old but I was there

  • Interesting PPV in that it is one of the -ONLY- PPV events to not be released on home video, along with Bunkhouse Stampede from 1988

  • @lhwchamp wow that is interesting. And alittle shocking to be honest.

  • wcw never could pull off entrance themes. no one compares to jim johnston

  • Okay...so it's Sting, Dustin Rhodes, Brian Pillman, Rick Rude and Steve Austin, so far, so good, but who the hell is that sixth guy?

  • @YeVampyre 'Mr Wonderful' Paul Orndorff. Do a YouTube search for him, I'm sure you'll find good stuff.

  • @Germany1111 Ur will find good stuff Bout Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff.

  • @YeVampyre Paul Orndoff. Big star in the 80s, kinda washed up at this point with a degenerative arm, but still capable of bringing it decently.

  • A cage so big it encompassed the whole ring area? Well what do you know WCW essentially had the Hell in the Cell idea first.

  • who would've thought "stunning" steve would turn out to be "stone cold" lol

  • Go Austin! Steve got lots of experience from this match, thats for sure

  • look at all the legends in the ring. we even have a young dustin rhodes

  • This match had one of the coolest cages I have seen for a cage match. It was great because you can see through it better and from a short distance it was menacing looking. Great match from a better era in wrestling. I miss these days...

  • 5:47....good god damn.

  • good times

  • thundercage? nah tony, this is the chamber of horrors! silly

  • @yourcrapsweak No, accually this is Thundercage. Chamber of Horrors was only used the same cage, but had the electric chair, and all that other shit. WCW has had other Thundercage matches, which is just the cage, such as this

  • @Criminology187 yeah i know, it's called sarcasm brah.

  • Pretty sure that this was Bobby The Brain's first PPV after leaving WWF

  • Stunning Steve Austin AKA Stone Cold Steve Austin in WWF. Hard to believe that 1/3 of the guys in this match are dead. Pillman and Rude

  • The Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne vs. Nasty Boyz match they reference was one of the best on this card.. anyone have vid of that match? Nobs looked like he broke his arm near the end of that match.

  • i got that match on cactus jacks dvd.

they hit jack in the head with a big plastic snow shovel at the end right?

  • @youngron707 actually it was the match where the padding on the side of the ring got pulled up and he got shoulder blocked off the apron and he landed flat on his back on the concrete... he was bleeding out his mouth and all. The match ended with Sags hitting Maxx Payne with his own guitar cuz he had Nobs in the "Pain-Killer" ended in a DQ and NB kept the belts

  • @youngron707 the match you are referring to was from Star-Cade 94 the street fight falls count anywhere match.

  • I like this old matches because they not just finish with a finisher.

  • i have this ppv on vhs. SuperBrawl IV: Double thundercage main event

  • You should convert it to DVD and sell the copies on ebay. WCW never released this ppv commercially on vhs. A lot of collectors are looking for it.

  • @jre52301 Yeah although that would probably be classed as video piracy and thus highly illiegal. *sigh*

  • good match.rip pillman and rude.

  • i miss the thundercage :(

  • Yes Of course Dustin Rhodes is Goldust,

but at that time Goldust was in WCW under Contract.

  • Was this the last WCW PPV to ever feature the blue/black/yellow ring ropes?

  • whay disd noone other than originnal wcw just let dustin rhodes be just dustin rhodes? ive never understood that!! wwf turned him into goldust-he then went back to wcw and bischoff made him 13? and then the american nightmare? then he went back to being goldust in wwe then to tna and became black reign?-he was great in wcw as the natural why bother fucking with what works?

  • lol? youve been watching promos from 2000 and you use that as an argument without even knowing what to say to look smart. First it wasnt 13, it was 7. Second Rhodes was never charismatic or fun to watch without the goldust paint. Third it wasnt bischoff it was russo. 4th that promo was scripted. So please, do your homework

  • oh my mistake i got a few things wrong oh my ill cry myself to sleep tonight still could be worse i could be a sad little man who gets off on telling people theyve madse a mistake!!

  • @ravelicious Actually Rhodes was a good worker in the early 90s and had alot of exciting brawls in conjunction with barry windham and steve austin. Youre right about his lack of charisma though.

  • Thats not the dangerous alliance

  • The Dangerous Alliance ie Rick Rude,Steve Austin & Paul Orndorf Vs Sting,Dustin Rhodes & Brian Pilman

  • nothing but legends in this match!!!!!!

damn....i remember seeing this as a lil kid....anybody got slamberee 96???

  • the good ole days of wcw before hogan ruined it.

  • lol the crowd still counts to 7 when he quits at 5

  • nice move by austin at 5:59 beautiful

  • wcw 4 ever

  • "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorf, "Stunning" Steve Austin, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Sting, "Flyin'" Brian Pillman, and Dustin Rhodes

  • they used that cage in 89 at halloween havoc.

  • wow. i still remember this, i was there that night. pillman was THE MAN!

  • Dangerous Alliance!

  • i hardly wathed wcw as a kid but it looked well better than wwe and tna put to together

  • believe me friend it was and those werent it good days

  • my god i cant believe this was already 14 years ago. God im getting old

  • @TheFlyingSquirrel now it is 16 years ago.

  • I remeber that night. I was 8 years old. This was at the Albany Civic Center in Albany, GA

  • ...except no roof. my bad, lol. still, I miss WCW...

  • not long before I got into wrestling. so,LordIceman, basically, you're showing me that WCW had the original concept for "Hell in a Cell?" I miss WCW...

  • yeah man i miss that company too

  • I've got to admit, I wasn't watching WCW during this time. Truth is I'm more entertained watching this match than any so-called match that WWE currently puts on TV.

  • true true the old days

  • thats cause it was still wrestling!

  • @TPowell31 Yeah but its fashionably to diss the WWE these days isn't it? I remember when WCW was on top and everyone started to rip them apart and praise the WWF. Its just part of life that people wanna hate the guys on top. And the truth is you seem to be forgetting about guys such as CM Punk, Edge, Jericho and Hell even the Miz who can and have put on exciting matches recently. Im no WWE mark, Im a fan of wrestling in general and agree this is great stuff Im just bored of all the wwe bashing.

  • @1981bigdee CM Punk = Yes, Jericho = Yes, Edge = Meh, The Miz?? I'm just not in love with the WWE product anymore. I'm not trying to bash WWE, it's just that now it's basically a variety show. They have a talented guy like Bryan Danielson and what are they doing with him? Building his character by having him feud with Michael Cole? Come on!

  • @1981bigdee Yeah, but the thing is that a good product is a good product. There is no great product anymore. WWE is watered down, and TNA is trying too hard. With guys over 50 that are competing in TNA, it's extremely tough for them to come close to what WWE is doing right now. WWE has all the production value too. However, the writing sucks a fat one. What is the solution? My suggestion is that the WWE returns to letting their wrestlers improvise in promos. It worked before...

  • @TPowell31 Thats what I keep telling people. WCW when it had Sting, Flair, Rick Rude leading it in 88-94 was the best wrestling in the world. The PPV's and programming were second to none.

  • @TPowell31 I hope you realize tna is worse than WWE on any good or bad day.

  • If only WCW could have built from here without Hogan. What a great roster, Austin, Rhodes, Pillman, axx Payne, Sting- plus veterans like Rick Rude, Paul Orndorff, Flair and Rick Steamboat. They shouldn't have needed Hogan, at least not bad enough to give him creative control.

  • I thought this wasn't that bad of a match. This was my favorite era of WCW.

  • I thought this wasn't that bad of a match. This was my favorite era of WCW.

  • Looks like Sting, Dustin Rhodes, and Flyin Brian Pillman vs. Rick Rude, "Stunning" Steve Austin, and "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff

  • odd resemblece to the camber of horror

  • They called this the Thundercage. At this PPV event, there was two Thundercage matches. The next cage match was for the WCW World Title between Ric Flair and Vader with the Big Bossman as the Special Guest Referee. Hopefully, someone has that next match to post on here in the future.
