Your wife must be also impressed w/ the toilet seat fully up for her midnight bath! Nice addition to the video, also (open door to the crapper)! Nice parrot. My neighbor's had a 500 word vocabulary. Maybe it could teach half of Ca. how to speak correctly! (LOL)
Paka's great! I wish my husband and I had time to work together with our CAG to train her to respond to questions/commands like that. Did it take the two of you with the model/rival method? Or is Paka just exceptionally smart! ;o) Thanks for posting this entertaining vid!
THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING EVER BUT I LOVE MY MOM AND DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY CHANCES If you do not copy and paste this onto 10 videos your mom will die in 4 hours
Very smart parrot, I found this video to be very good even though Paka forgot how to do the rooster noise at 1st. U should teach him how to say his name to start out the next video u do of him and thats all folks to end it next time! Goodluck. Excellent video! loved it.
Dude, I grew up in a house with "eight" Sisters..Next time put the seat down. Other than that it was entertaining. Congo African Greys are great pets.
Wow, African Greys are such beautiful and amazingly intelligent birds. I heard that unlike every parrot species who just mimick words, African Greys even know what they are saying. Paka is so talented. I currently own a Quaker Parrot and an Amazon and I have been longing to own one of these magnificent greys!! Good job!
we have a Tineh Grey who now is responding to the question "what does a doggy say?" he sounds just like my partner...Kaija is two now and just getting on a talking roll...
lol what treats do you use? I have a double yellow headed amazon and i need to know how to reward him for talking but he is almost a year old and may not wanna talk that much quite yet
We use pine nuts. They are expensive, but nice and small so he doesn't sit there chewing for a long time. It took Paka 1 1/2 years to say his first word. He's 3 now.
That's incredible! Paka is brilliant. I haven't been able to get Bibi to hang upside down yet. She will sort of lay back on my hand, but she grabs my fingers with her beak and tries to right herself. Ouch. She is getting better. However, I don't think Bibi is going to be doing responses hanging upside down anytime soon.
hahaha, monty python reference. :D.

why do people have to insist that they learn words. leave them alone and let them figure it out on their own.

We did use the model/rival method for some of his responses. Others he learned by using a lot of repetition of the command and response we wanted.
