Teams couldn`t double team nor Bird nor Magic. Being 6 foot 9 inches tall they could see all the floor, unleashing the pass to the open man. The diference between Bird and Magic regarding Jordan is that under pressure (by two opponents) Michael had to jump or stand on one feet in order to pass the ball. Magic and Bird on the other hand just had to strech their arms and throw the ball to their team-mates with great ease. Jordan just wasn`t efficient as Bird and Magic in that sort of situation.

I was lucky enough to witness great athletes in the late seventies, eighties, nineties and todays. From track and field, through soccer, boxing, gymnastics, swimming, tennis and basketball. But watching Bird, Jordan and Magic play and compete the way they did. Their godlike talent and tremendous will to win separate them from all the others great athletes of that era. I miss those days of real competition. And in the middle of that frenzy were these three amazing figures.
