@tyeslater24 I did too. I couldn't believe she was gone. There will never be another Mrs. Lila Quartermaine or Anna Lee. The character and the woman were clearly one of a kind and the mold was broken when she was formed because there was no way to improve upon perfection nor the extent of her grace.

@tyeslater24 You know, GH replaced Edward over the yrs tho I think it was during med procedures, etc.. It's my hope that when he passes, they will do the same as was done when we lost Ms. Anna Lee. I can't imagine another man stepping into his tremendously large shoes or doing justice to the man he created. He IS Edward Quartermaine; he IS Grandfather - as Emily always called him. Sure, he's gruff on the outside but deep down, his heart is golden even tho it's not shown often enough

@tyeslater24 However, at the same time I am thinking of what would happen if we lost Edward, I couldn't imagine GH without this amazing actor and patriarch of the Quartermaine family. Lila's soft touch & let's face it her temper while still full of grace, kept Edward in line despite his gruff & stubbornness. I always felt as if the 2 of them must have had an excellent friendship b/c it appeared to shine thru their acting as husband & wife. That kindness/caring can't be faked.

She was grief-stricken. She was in so much pain over Lila's death and so angry that she died. Search the clip where Tracy finds out and the one where she gets mad at everyone then breaks down screaming "I want my mommy"
