The way he is performing the shot on the garlando is to palm roll the man to hit it into the net thus you need no recoil for this shot as the force is strong enough to remove any latral movement. If you are doing this on a tornado i would suggest a wrist flick and apply recoil.

nice video. perhaps you could include the actual travel of the ball showing the difference between eg. spray long (non-recoil) and deadman long (recoil).
