Hello, I have a husqvarna 350 chainsaw, I was wondering why did they discontinue that model from the lineup, and second question is if its a good saw to have...for me its been good with no problems, i service it myself, nd most importantly keep it dry and clean...thanks.
@besman007 The 450 took the place of the 350. But of course you can still buy parts for it at your local husky dealer. The 350 is a great saw. It does every thing the 455 does but weighs less.
I worked for husqvarna for two/three years, dealership mechanic, we called them Feed Rakes... Alternatives, and options... Dont spose it matters, really...
i see now there are a lot of names for them, i call em felling dawgs now really, manufacturers call em bumper spikes but they only really hold the log but i dont think they really do much other than that
yeah i just bought my rancher, 455, had to buy something as i bought a house with a woodstove, no more buying cords for me, got a few cords in the garage and the rest is in my wood shed, about 7 cords total, also got a log splitter for a hundred bucks 4 ton, love the heat, how i ever lived without a woodstove before, well never again, cmon ol' man winter huskys got my back, lol.
The comprable Stihl cost 100 + dollars more. Now Stihl comes outa West Virginia Beach (America) no longer German made. Started with German Stihl saws building full scribe log homes now the Husky has took over this is my bread and butter. And no the Husky is NOT a vacuum cleaner it puts food on our table. You run a saw daily and feed your family the Husky is the value. Got some old Stihl saw and love em, BUT... Its what works and pays the bills!!!
there still stihl made in germany on the ones sold in the u.s.a are made in west virgina beach for emision standars testing i belive and cheaper than sending saw over by the crate load
You imagine, what are you going to do, and how often, you ever need any tool.. when you use a chainsaw only a few times in the year, you will buy cheap supermarket saw.
If you are a loger, you buy stihl, because you know, that you will earn a lot of money to get it. kapisto?
Low kickback chain is still dangerous, therefore it cannot be called safety chain, the low kickback chain label only means in that in in lab testing the chain had less than a 45 degree kickback, yet the chain is still dangerous, no such thing as safety chain, do your research next time little fella.
I own the same saw and I like it a lot. I burned out a Mac Cu-lick and a Poulan wild thing before buying this one. I have one issue with mine, the chain oil leaks if it sits over time. Any ideas why?
the stihl farm boss 56cc is a better saw. and less money.

i got a 385xp and its a sick saw. i love the thing.

which saws do you like more stihl 441.460 or husqvarna 385xp
Hreljin87 2 years ago
That's not a child safety lock on the handle. That's a safety feature to ensure someones actually gripping the handle when the throttle is engaged.
It so you don't accidentally pull the throttle trigger without having a firm grip on the handle.

juniorfarmer2012. They can be called dog claws, bumper spikes, or just dogs. There is no absolute "right" name for them.

czy mogłby sie ktos wypowiedziec na temat tego modelu , bo nie wiem czy warto kupic ją ?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
can't hardley get better than that. it is called a "DOG CLAW" not bumper spikes. call it what you want but dog claw is the right name for it

go with the stihl MS-660 magnum timbersports competiton saw. and yes it is stock. 92 cc and a 36 inch guide bar. i purchased one and i love it.
nissanR92CP 3 years ago
this saw is horrid for commercial work. the oilers are alwyas going bad. no oil on chain equals hot bar and chain and very bad for cutting

Nice, iM planning On Buying Either one of those or a Husqvarna 357xp.
FeArfActOry6666 3 years ago

there is not such thing as safety chain. Nice that you have a husqvarna, but you really shouldn't brag about a 455, maybe a 395xp or 3120, not a 455.
dynox99 3 years ago
yes there is a reduced kickback chain
