You forgot to mention cruciferous vegetables since hamsters can't burp or pass gas and they could get bloated (@manuelbayla so no broccoli). I know this because I used to feed my dwarf hamsters broccoli until my vet told me why I shouldn't. Otherwise your list was quite thorough. Keep up the good work!

@Tical08 It depends what you mean by easy. I think a good age for taking care of a hamster would be at least 10, unless you are responsible enough, if not an adult can help you. You should do research before getting a hamster, so you know what to expect.

i poked my hamster's eye by actident and she has a brown ring around her eye... @brickwall81 If it is getting worse everyday you should tell your mom its urgent. Their eyes are very sensitive so touching it can leave bactiria on the eye making it puff up. Somone did this to Mocha when we first got him and his eye was shut for one week. So make sure to wash your hands before picking her up again. (:
