that's not a real 3 monte. real three monte uses real cards (not tampered with) and is all about sleight of hand. you throw the top card when the mark thinks it's the bottom etc.

This is not the three card montey. This is simply referred to as a GAFF card trick which simply means that one or more of the cards are simply doctored..so sleight of hand is not needed.

Just have some real duplicate's of the cards in you pocket and then as soon as you finish the trick stick the gimmick cards into your pocket and if they ask you to show theme the cards, just take out the real set.

I take a duplicate card of the one I making disappear and then I palm it and sneak it into one of my friends stuff before hand and then when the time comes and I do the trick and they ask me where the card is I say "but aren't you interested were the card went?" and as I reveal to them where the card I hid earlier is I'm taking off the taped half card and palming it. Then ask them if they still want to see the cards which are now normal.

Its a good trick but just like every card trick, everyone wants to see the cards at the end.

Thats why you have duplicates of your gimmick, quickly put the trick in your pocket, and they say, "Let me see them" thats when u leave the gimmick, and take out its duplicate.
