  • soo cute

  • cool video :)

  • OMG that is amazing! how long did it take for all of them to come to you?

  • So cute. They r just like my kittens (i have 12) wanting dinner.

  • That's a lot of hummers in one place.

  • wow

  • Wow!

  • Hi Russ, Thanks for stopping by to see my hummers...Check out the coyote clip too in sons backyard... ~~ Karen

  • flower nectar, is that all they need to survive? what are you feeding them? sweet water?

  • No, they eat insects for protein as well.

  • @KarenCalypte where is this? which country?

  • Wow! Karen you had a swarm of hummers. My first time to see this video.

  • we have 2 that visit our feeder in our backyard and flowers;one was less than 3 feet away while I was laying down below him-he buzzed over me when he left!

  • I've never seen a hummingbird before. Are there hummingbirds in Florida? I would love to see one!

  • Yeah, they stop by Florida every once in a while, but the area has to be very plant and flower populated. I was able to spot a few feeding off violets when I used to live in Poinciana, because the soil there can plant almost any flower, they would feed off the ones my folks had in our front yard every morning. But since that place is starting to become a city, I doubt they'll go there anymore though. :(

  • Oh ok. Thanks.

  • I have seen a few in my backyard but never been able 2 capture them with my tiny camcorder. Thanks for this sweet video; I enjoyed it!

  • That is a great view you have there. I have about

12 or 15 hummers this year, but my view is not nearly as nice, lol I'm deep in the busy city.

    thanks for posting

  • I've done everything you mentioned except get a brush. (I did my research!)

I need to get a brush soon because I had a heck of a time trying to scrub with a straw. But yeah, thanks for the facts!

  • Good for you....Next I will be seeing your videos of your hummingbirds here on you tube....Are you on the East or West... ~~ Karen

  • Yes, I went and bought a couple feeders, and they visit daily! I don't know yet if they are the same two that come or if there are others. But if I go sit in my porch, I just wait a little bit and eventually or two come to feed. (*grin*)

  • Ahhhh.....Thats wonderful to have hummers at your feeders. Be sure to clean feeders at least every 3 days with very hot water and a bottle brush. Re-fill with fresh nectar. I make mine up every other day to be sure it's fresh....And just a extra hint to keep your hummers healthy - PLEASE do NOT use red food dye.... It is not a food requirment for hummingbirds... ~~ Karen

  • I just subscribed! I am fascinated with hummers.

I have seen one in my backyard, only one.

I plan to get a feeder soon and see if I can lure him back with his friends. :)

  • Hello, I haven't checked in in quite awhile. Have you ad any luck getting hummingbirds to come to a feeder? Thanks for stopping by.... ~~ Karen

  • That was great!

  • Sagepyro...Thanks for stopping by....
