why 18? girls become women way before than 18 and 18 is just an arbitrary age that has nothing to do with how biologically and mentally adult a person is. It's perfectly natural for teens to desire to look good, to use make up, to weak nice clothes and to try to attract the attention of males. It happens in primitive culture as well, actually teens are not as infantilized as in the western world there.

It's just in the modern era that children are dressed with children clothes, pink bunnies or cartoon heros. In 1700 and 1800 children dressed with the same clothes adults used and expecially in the victorian era little girls from rich and royal families dressed like these pageants do. Since it's just for the duration of the contest and not how they dress in every day life, I would consider it just an harmless masquerade game. It has nothing to do with her homicide.

Her death was a tragedy. I had a professor who swore he had a friend who worked on this case & he said he was told that authorities knew it was the brother & that the girl was being molested. On a side note, Personally I think all "pageant parents" are sick. I don't understand why any parent would want their pre-pubescent child to be dolled up like a grown woman. Spray tans, fake teeth/hair, and a face full of makeup...it's really sad and disgusting.

He swore that his friend swore that they knew it was the brother, but as a favor to Mr. Ramsey the whole case was quieted really quickly, I believe it.

Anyone can go watch a baseball game or a dance recital. If you think pageants should be banned, then so should hip hop dancing and jazz dancing. I've seen five-year-old jazz dancers wearing much more inappropriate costumes than I've ever seen in a pageant.

Basically we picked out a song and decided who did what, like Nikki did the beginning to 1:40(or something like that) and I did the second verse and part of a chorus. I saved my secetion and sent it to her. She added it to the beginning and did the rest of the song after my part. I don't know if that made sense, but we basically just assigned parts and meshed them together once we finished^_^'
