"What are you doing, getting up early to sneak a peek at the presents? Well, I'll show you! You're gonna smoke EVERY ONE of those 200 cigarettes, ya little punk!"
Take your pick - give the gift of cancer or diabettes. Diabettes won out. Young and old alike - Valentines day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas give the gift of blindness, amputation, kidney failure and shortened life GUARANTEED! Lots and lots of sweets make every holiday a special occassion.
@1967mustanggta Sadly, what you're saying will go over the heads of 99% of the people who read your comment. Most people think sweet cause tooth decay and that's it.
@whatanightmare1 In the US they are only sold as unfiltered and a lot of places don't carry them but in Europe they're still very common. The company that makes them, American Tobacco, was sold to British Tobacco in the 1970s (which was then renamed British American Tobacco); they stopped selling Lucky filters in the US in the early 2000s.
@DrQuackMD 200 cigarettes in the pack, I think it was just saying that that's the message a Lucky Strike cigarette gives! Kind of unclear, at first I thought they might mean it said it on every cigarette!
My Grandad is 120 years old smoked 100 a day from the age of 6 and ran a marathon every day sounds familiar dont it?..uk,usa,and around the world they all say the same shit lol!!!
Damn, I miss the days when we didn't go around like a bunch of Nazi psychopaths in a perpetual state of being offended! I don't smoke but, I long for the days when smokers were just part of the social background because we were once a free people.
Old cigarette commercials are appreciated now because they help us remember the sights and sounds of the Old Republic.
One Christmas long time ago, my millionaire uncle gave me a carton for a gift. Back then cartons cost $5, and it wasn't the brand I smoked. Over the years he's become even less generous.
@BillieJoeIsHawt This is Dorothy Collins doing a commercial for "Your Hit Parade", a show that went off the air in the late fifties. She was one of the regulars. Commercial's probably from 1955 or so.
@JeremyxFisher Yeah man totally.. You were able to smoke in doors in most places. Nobody scolded you or gave you shit if you did. These commercials are so much cooler than these new anti-smoking ones.. LET SMOKERS SMOKE!! :)
