Naina Barse gives me goose bumps every time i hear it! Gosh the best song ever made! Madan Mohan ji is incomparable to any other music director! And lataji my God even today her voice flows like a gentle stream the 'perfect woman' voice! Words are not enough to praise this composition and the singing :')

hey people let me tell you something.. I'm a graphic designer, today is Nov 15th and it's 23:16 in my country.. I'm working in a large project and so tired, while I'm doing it, i'm listen to random music in youtube, a few minutes ago this song came to me.. and I don't know why... That is the magic of Lata Ji, who is respected as the goddess of singing by every Indian (at least) ... singing for around 65 years now ... which is double of even the total age of many of us! (and was 68 when she did this concert) She has been given some of the highest civilian awards in India, though the total list of awards she has won is endless. The English subtitles might help you understand the wordings of the song. Ask if you want further explanation. :)

Apart from her singing like a nightingale, the best thing about Lata Mangeshkar is that she never tried to improvise or deviate from the original tune, unlike so many other singers of yesteryears and the current generation. Thats the respect she has for the composers of the tunes she sings and this is something for all other singers to follow. There will never be another singer like her.

I think "Naina Barse" sounds great in Lata's mature voice.

I think the music was lacking though. 5:20 , for example, was way more forceful in the original.
