hey can you help me? I'm looking for a pop song from 90's, it's quite slow. there is a guy singing and instead of chorus is music which sounds a little classical. unfortunately I don't remember any words, please help! :)
One of the most beautiful songs of Duran Duran.É the best band in the world today for their variety musicais.Simon Le Bon and John Taylor are the princes than any Snow White or Sleeping Beauty would like to have in your arms! Hahahahahaha
When I hear this always takes me back to when it came out sitting in the car with it blasting here it for the first time going to the mall to get my skateboard signed by Lance Mountain. It's funny because all these years later its the only thing I see in my head this song for the first time and thinking this is good and going to see someone i was crazy about at the time .
I was in 8th grade and my dad bought this album for my birthday.Strangely, I can still remember the smell of the cover paper inside the tape, every time i opened it to read the lyrics.
Once their music get into your system, there's no stopping it. It's addictive, it blows your mind....it's a true rush! Duran Duran is definitely my drug of choice!!
any one on this planet ..that does not know a song from.duran is without a doubt from another planet....i could care less if you do not like them but i will put money that u have in all your life hummed.or actually said hungry like the wolf!!!!
This song completely changed the course of my life. I was into Bobby Brown, MC Hammer etc., when this video was released. I was a sophmore in high school, and I fell in love with this song, and with the dark haired guy (John) in the video. This was considered "Post Modern" back then, so I researched all I could on this kind of music. It got me turned on to New Order, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Erasure, Siousxie, and all of the poplular Alternative groups of the day. Thank you DD.
@brbgal glad this song changed your course cause you were heading down the wrong path with Bobby & MC;) much love for all the other groups you mentioned, especially DM, Siousxie, & the cure
I was born in El salvador and funny how I grew up listening to music in English instead of Spanish until age 16, then i came to the USA, still listening to this kind of music
@RodrigoMJ32 Indeed i was born in El Salvador and also i live here in USA i grew up listening to all these music, it brings me good memories from my childhood..Cheers man..
@RodrigoMJ32 Indeed i was born in El Salvador too and also i live here in USA i grew up listening to all these music, it brings me good memories from my childhood..Cheers man..
Ahhhhhhh the days when white artists would recruit soulful black sistas to sing background on their hits & I LOVED IT!!!!! LONG LIVE THE 70s & 80s!!!!
@rjmdrum David Palmer the guy in the video. He drummed with ABC and ask to join Duran for the Big Thing tour but was working with The The at that time,so Sterling Campbell got the tour and became a offical DD member for a few years.
Steve Ferrone plays Live drums on the track along with some programming.
Not there greatest video - but the fact that we see Nick in front of camera instead of hidden behind his keyboard is a start in the right direction. I have noticed this in the last few years....keep it up
Wow!! Retro from Duran Duran... It just goes to show how strong they were at creating songs as they changed with the times. Its too bad they split up. Amazing!!! I love this song.
@Carolina463 As long as Nick is with Simon, there is Duran Duran. All the rest of them are irrelevant. John Taylor hasn't contributed significantly in over a decade.
I know they didn't change the name. Since regrouping, Andy Taylor left again, and John Taylor only does the albums - not the tours... but so what? Rhodes and LeBon are all that matter. It's kind of like a pop version of Simon & Garfunkel.
@TheControllerMusic I don't recall where I read it, but my understanding is that John won't be touring anymore. That information could be wrong. While trying to verify that, I found out that John is the only member of duran duran that went into drug rehab. Duran Duran was created by Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, so getting rid of John isn't easy. I would like to see him go!
I love how DD just keep going over the years even if the major hits weren't there. Ultimately history has a long memory.
