This song completely changed the course of my life. I was into Bobby Brown, MC Hammer etc., when this video was released. I was a sophmore in high school, and I fell in love with this song, and with the dark haired guy (John) in the video. This was considered "Post Modern" back then, so I researched all I could on this kind of music. It got me turned on to New Order, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Erasure, Siousxie, and all of the poplular Alternative groups of the day. Thank you DD.

@rjmdrum David Palmer the guy in the video.He drummed with ABC and ask to join Duran for the Big Thing tour but was working with The The at that time,so Sterling Campbell got the tour and became a offical DD member for a few years.

I know they didn't change the name. Since regrouping, Andy Taylor left again, and John Taylor only does the albums - not the tours... but so what? Rhodes and LeBon are all that matter.  It's kind of like a pop version of Simon & Garfunkel.

While trying to verify that, I found out that John is the only member of duran duran that went into drug rehab. Duran Duran was created by Nick Rhodes and John Taylor, so getting rid of John isn't easy. I would like to see him go!
