you have to realize that it is a luxury car that is significantly larger than the prius with pretty decent power. that is the discrepancy between the prius' fuel economy to this, however it is still quite a gain over other luxury cars.

Unlike real politicians, mayors are usually successful businesspersons who want to extend their authority beyond the market. You can express your opinions to your congressmen or governors, but mayors always do things in their own interests. That's how the current system works. Screw the HS250. And the Prius for that matter. Get the VW Jetta Diesel. And if you want luxury, go with the Audi A3 TDI. Great gas mileage, great torque, and possibly more room. Enough said!

Well i think the mayor should do a public apology to the town he represents and the cop he fired/rehired...whatever. If Gumpert is going to request their car to be tested on a track, i think that is an honor in which since i watch top gear as well, some episodes they mention "we would like to test out *brand name* cars if you have one please let us test it out"..blah blah blah.... that kind of stuff.

The Lexus HS is an ugly car. Seems like they put all the cool designers to design the Prius, and those with no sense of style or proportions to do the HS... I can't get my head around it... it is just wrong, everywhere.

Is it fair for the police officier to be suspended for issuing a ticket to the mayor's son? Well, we live in a society of hierarchy. You have to know who NOT to piss off. Unlike real politicians, mayors are usually successful businesspersons who want to extend their authority beyond the market. You can express your opinions to your congressmen or governors, but mayors always do things in their own interests. That's how the current system works. Know who know to mess with is always the safest.

Screw the HS250. And the Prius for that matter. Get the VW Jetta Diesel. And if you want luxury, go with the Audi A3 TDI. Great gas mileage, great torque, and possibly more room. Enough said!
