But wow have not added anything extra to the gaming in terms of raiding, and EQ have done it... in fact I could list your a lot of fights who have been an exact copy and paste from EQ fights and that before that lead programmer and former EQ raid designers joined WoW team. In fact if there's something holding me and many old mmorpgs to play World of Warcraft: Wotlk is due watching for first time some decent content. Maybe chess event is the most original of WoW.. or have you done ches in EQ? :P

easiest way to avoid the lightning is to turn all your sound off in options except ambient sounds and put ambient volume on max and you can hear the storm coming, then everyone should just run in on the tank.. simple

my guild juz did this tonite. We were spread out, 10 secs before the storm we started moving in the and there should be a shadow that'd appear and u get on that shadow. After the shadow disappears, you all run out of the middle . That's pretty much how the fight go. If you don't run in before the storm... u'll pretty much get ur raid wiped.

Because if you watch in this video, the killer is that the raid takes a long time to get to the "stormer" as we called them. So when the rain comes, on your screen, or you actually HEAR the rain, then run to your marked person and just stand there.

My guild recently decevloped a good tactic that involved having a warlock stand as far away as possible from the boss, with everyone else a little closer and spread out.

Then we used the sounds on the game to hear when the storm was coming and it was a simple fact of all gathering ontop of the warlock, who was close to the dps and the only person that had to run fir more than 3 seconds was the tank.

ZA bosses enrage on a timer and one shot the raid if you don't kill them quick enough. They may have "low hp" if your raid is in tier 6, but for those of us trying to run ZA right after kara, the bosses are a challenge and we rarely beat the sacrifice timers.

We took this boss tonight, it is actually an extremely easy fight. We made our own twist to the fight, and decided to let the birds attack as they wished, and we had full dps on boss. He went straight down, and none in raid died. We got gear from Kara to SSC/TK..

We also ran to the middle 5-7 secs before the storm(download DBM), and none would get hurt..

to kill trash is good to have 2 mages and some shadowpriest.

One tank get 2 elites and other get 2 more, all dps to kill this elites fast and when eagles come just mages use frost nova flamestrike and blast wave should kill they (2 mages do this spell but intercalete frost nova).

Very important is usewell our mana because when you come to top you probabilit have to many eagles and very low mana so use potions and shadowpriest must give mana to mages.

Yeah, you want your raid to be more flexible. Having them collapse on the tank before the electric storm is infinitely better than draining the healer's mana unnessecarily.

wrong strat for that boss... waste a lot of mana on heals.. with electric thing... what you have to do is.. 7 secs before the electric thing begins.. everyone group on the tanks place.. so no 1 is hit by that electric thing.. thats how we did it...
