Such a fresh and uplifting song. Very familiar to Pink Floyd's later work. I found myself stopping what I was doing online and sitting back in my chair with my eyes closed just listening...
They were playing this song when I was a new driver out driving an 18 wheeler a thousand miles from nowhere, lol good days they were. If you have given up on life go to truck school and start a new one, love on line!
@JRSueEllen same here buddy, grew up wit this guy from my parents, at first i didnt like him cuz he was country but when i got older it kinda grew on me
the first song i ever remember hearing was Fast AsYou by Dwight. I remember i was in the backseat of my moms 72 Chevelle drivin thru town towards my gmas. I was about a year old. Funny how i remember that lol
I always liked this song...and sometime I heard it on the page of a friend, where I woud never have expected it. This person is a musician and makes noise! Good noise. Anyway: it is a countrysong that will always remember me to him. =)
Good to know theres more Dwight fans out there than i thought :P, i been a fan of him ever since the first time i heard his songs. i really wish Youtube would quit blocking my others though.
This reminds me of when i listened to this song, as was very young in Mexico. I used to run around in my grandfathers fields, with the mountains in the distance. A Walkman and a slingshot in my pocket. And not a care in the world.
it was literally in the middle of nowhere.
Pure Bliss.
My thanks to the up loader for bringing back the good old memories :)

Gotta love Dwight Yoakam. This song and "Ain't that lonely yet" are my favorites.

First heard this as a sound track to Nick Cage's Red Rock West which I thought was a cracking film!
