  • wow, this amazing song criticizes a world in which sex & money is the most important, just like the one we are living in

  • RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, RUN AWAYYYYYYYYYY

  • Caraca... I downloaded this music with "Culture beat - Run Away". oO

  • Strange thing is I only recently learned that the female lead singer (Karin Kasar) behind most of the songs never appeared in the music videos of this bands songs..instead the rapper Olaf replaced her with Patricia Petersen who lip synced most if not all of the music videos on the entire album "Another Night"!!

  • Ironically the song lyrics were based on the George Orwell: Nineteen Eighty Four. I would have never thought it -- I thought it was a nice song.

  • @KJLesnick

Do music makers unable to come up with something really remarkable now instead of carry on with the same?

  • i miss the 90s

  • @TheAdrianbe same

but you better get used to AUTO-TUNE now

  • Now this was the real mccoy!

  • It's funny reading everyone's posts about how this 90's music was the real deal, then you can go to an 80's post and read about how that was the only real music, same with the 70's and 60's. It's all perspective. And I'm sure in 20 years they'll look back on the crap that's out today and call that all the "real" music. Of course I was a teenager when this was popular and I couldn't stand it then, was much more of a grunge, rock, and metal fan. Still am.

  • Best song ever!!!!

  • @misspameti yo mama

  • @misspameti musically

  • @misspameti I'd say the 2010s in general

  • In San Francisco in the 80's is when euro Italian disco (dance) was really in vogue. Sounds just like this, we all called it Asian new wave. It was most popular with young hip SF Asians, then gays and aerobic instructors. I should know I sold 12 inch singles and was DJ in the Castro. Totally sex, drugs, rocknroll well disco.

  • Iƒsong!

  • holy shit i feel so old

  • OMG SWAG SWAG SWAG

  • omg this cracked me up ...LOLOL I GOTTA RUN AWAY FROM THIS SONG!

  • nice girl

  • fun bopping beat

  • old but good

  • Sad part is, even with the US FCC not airing Eurodance, just proved that homophobia doesn't keep from homosexuals forming. So many good Eurodance artist were out there that could have been appreciated here, but us Americans are so homophobic, we destroy other people's careers. 90s was the best decade by far, not this ghetto trash they play now. (Although some are pretty good) AND I MENT NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE.

  • @memo408 Far from ghetto, Try Techno Trash.

  • @LyrikallyBroken it's all opinion. Immortal Technique n Hieroglyphics are hella dope tho. Hae the radio cuz they play trash and just kill good songs. Lupe Fiasco had good hits the radio overplayed n killed that shyt. (my Opinion) aite. lol

  • @memo408 I'd have to disagree. The reason why Eurodance wasn't popular in the US is simply because in America you hear nothing but Latin, British, and American music. If it's from Europe then it's a rare exception. This has nothing to do with "homophobia", as you put it, at all.

  • @ryuslayer I beg to differ. Eurodance actually did pretty good here in the U.S.

  • i wanna runaway while listening to this song!

  • this is not how i remember it... what's with this clip-clap crappy dance beat?

  • wspaniały :) wunderbares Lied ! Beautiful song :)

  • Germans make the best trance/dance

  • i hate this video and the version is not awesome... i guess becuase i grew up with the us version.

  • where they filmed the video?

    Granada, Spain???? Base 3

    PLEASE RESPOND

  • It's good to have FUN music.

  • haha sooooo many memories <3

  • muito bom

  • Adoro esta música, som, tudo. Versão muito boa também.

I love this music, melody, everything. Version very good.

  • Loved the Real McCoy in their prime, ..I liked the other version of Runaway though. But still the original is a beauty :)

  • ke buena cancion esta super chida in the world

  • Damn

    I miss the 90's

Even though I was just a kid :P

    95/96 = The Best Times ♥

  • @Lovingyewischerrypie my ghost relos from way back when. say the year 10, 011 BC was a good year, so yeahh....:-P

  • @Lovingyewischerrypie Agreed. For me 1994/1995 best years EVER !!!

  • @Lovingyewischerrypie You got it dude. True words I swear

  • @Lovingyewischerrypie Very True, I was like 7 then lol.....

  • @Lovingyewischerrypie What about the other /6th percent of the time?

  • I imagined the guy would be way bigger and tougher by the sound of his voice LOL

  • I'm 18... And a I love this song...!!! This is real music :p

  • I prefer the Australian / US Version over this one as well.

  • nice song !

  • prefer the other or the original version

  • amooo essa música; nunca esqueci dela!!!! me lembro dos bons tempos... rsrsr

  • the lady at the start of this video has the most beautiful eyes ever.

  • Sometimes it's hard being a woman to PIGS like that, but luckily there are always others that got your back. :)

  • European version is way too housy. The American version is light years better.

  • Essa versão é melhor que a americana.

  • Runaway, ok but where?

  • :S WTF is happening to music today?

  • I was brushing my teeth and this song randomly heard this song in my head but i wasn't sure if I actually knew the lyrics b/c I haven't heard it in a while lol, I'm glad i really did know the song.

  • The positive thing about this track is that it was a big hit in the USA, not easy to achieve if its something Eurodance. You see, USA (where I live) was always hesitant to play anything Eurodance because many took it to be the new form of disco. Now since America was and still is a very homophobic country, DJ's and radio associated this with disco and all things gay, so many Euro groups never broke here. Real McCoy was one of a few that did.

  • @GINGERALER thanks for the info, I have only heard the american version, and never knew this. Had no idea lol

  • @GINGERALER You know, now that's changing a bit. More and more eurodance tracks, and dance music is becoming popular in the US. Even pop music is blurring the lines between pop and dance. I think in about 5 or 10yrs from now, America will catch on.

  • @GINGERALER how sad people are so narrowminded what is it they are so scared of.Most of the homophobes are in the closet anyway thats whats so funny

  • @GINGERALER what u said was gay, who the hell do u think u are being a snob to ur own country u idiot... no one gives a shit if ur stuck in the 90s listening to techno music.......

  • @johnnytube420 have you been under a rock the last 20 years?

  • @GINGERALER Not all Americans, more secluded to Texans and Republicans :P (no offence or anything to them, but its mostly true)

  • @GINGERALER and America is not that much of a homophobic country because if it was then i would be made fun of everyday for being bisexual...but...because i know who to hang out with i don't have much people saying anything about it any.........not trying to get off subject but how does being homophobic have anything to do with music? if somebody likes that music they will listen to it.....it does not really matter if the members of the music group are homosexual or not......it really doesn't

  • @GINGERALER Maybe not where you live(d), but where I grew up - in Southern California - eurodance was the ONLY music that got any attention. Loved every moment of it, too.

  • @GINGERALER Wait, are you serious!? So THAT'S why I had such a hard time finding music I liked as a kid. All anyone ever wanted to listen to was rock music, and I love techno/trance/europop/eurobeat etc SO MUCH. I've always love the electronic melody beeping, the bells, the echoing twinkly sounds, and everything about it. It just sounds so much more flowing and beautiful to me. What's ironic is that until about high school I associated high pitched electric guitar notes with gayness. XD

  • @GINGERALER That is not quite true anymore.....USA is not nearly as homophobic as it used it be back in the 90's...also, have you not been listening to the radio lately? Since 2009, music has started to sound like this again.

  • @1rockcrawford

The fake shit that plays today will never be as authentic sounding as the 90's tunes. NEVER!...

  • @GINGERALER thankfully, times have changed (a bit atleast) and dance music is slowly becoming alot more common here

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89 Could have fooled me. Whatever shit that they play today could hardly be called "dance music". Most of it ain't music at all, just some jackass talking to the sound of a synthesizer.

  • @infinitecanadian there is plenty of talented dance music artists on the rise today. Above & Beyond, Kaskade, Deadmau5 (although his newer stuff is getting a bit repetitive) are a few of my favorites.

  • @DemonOfRazgriz89 Those bands are but a shadow of the real Eurodance groups of the 90's and early 2000s, but it is nice to know that the genre hasn't died out completely.

  • @GINGERALER depends where you live back then. A place with a lot of diversity = Eurodance music. the Bay area and southern California has a huge population of Asians so these kind of music gets play all the time. Same goes with New york because they have a large population of Russians and Italians.

  • @GINGERALER this is probably true. but it's also ironic in a sense, since much american hiphop influenced r and b pop is really "eurodance" in disguise.

  • @GINGERALER I never knew that, I had been wondering why America did not want any other music other then their own. Thanks for the info, that's been puzzling me. From me, from the U.K.

  • @GINGERALER it was big hit also over here ,where i've lived, perhaps not big enough but very very often played by radio stations :) . I agree that USA has always been rather resistant for anything called as " Euro- disco " ,however we could find some excepts from this rule.Dj's over there are used playing rather soul & RnB music.

  • @GINGERALER sure?sure? i thought that america have bettre singers and better all...the film makes we thought it

  • @GINGERALER clever analysis. If true it was a shame but I suppose more weirdo-gay-styles have easier to be accepted in amercia today. Or is still the subculture associated with certain styles (hardstyle/gabber vs hooligans) an obstacle for music itself?

  • I like it!!

  • don't know why, but I like the other version better

  • @realdeal08 ikr? More meaning, but this is nice too :)

  • 132 people are not 15 years old

  • @mypasswordiscats or think kesha or rhianna is better. lol

  • Comment removed

  • nobody gives a shit about age. the reason why is because the ones who dont care about it are one of the following: 1) dumb as hell 2) high or drunk 3) just plain stupid. i hope never to meet any of these kind of ppl. they are the kind that give us all a bad name. >:P

  • oooohhh runaway ooooohhhh ..¡¡

    yeaaaaaah

  • OOOOHHH Runaway..OOHHHH Runaway ....uufff awesome

  • Real McCoy needs a Come back track for this new decade... come on!! One more time!! ;) I love your hits and still play them in the car nowadays!

  • KOZAK!!!!!!!!
