If the currency does collapse you have to look at what has happened in other countries to see what will happen.
Instead of fiat currencies those countries move to commodity money, ie gold and silver. The government goes away, and the territories break up and make their own currencies.
I'm thinking that if things get so bad and inflation consumes us, the first state to leave the union will be Texas. They can survive on their own and don't need the rest of the country.

Rand's wrong on the question of how to try the terrorists. Civilian courts were perfectly adequate to put away people like Tim McVeigh and Adolf Eichmann.
I say give him some slack, he is in hardcore pro military establishment, he can't win saying otherwise. And of course if they are arrested as POW's they should be tried as such. Military courts are NOT good enough for our soldiers. I was an active duty Marine for 5 years and I saw the UCMJ used to punish those who's only crime was to fall into the disfavor of their superiors.
