  • gwt your dumb friends to play chicken with it

  • That thing fucking MOVES.

  • TGV by Alton is a best train in the World! Go to new AVG! Tomara que o Brasil adote o TGV ou AVG como trem de alta velocidade! Muito melhor do que qualquer outro, inclusive melhor do que o Shinkasen Japonês disparado. =)

  • Je crois que j'aurai été malade la dedans ! ^^

  • Feel sorry for any critters that might be crossing at the time. LOL

  • TheIncredibleKrunk is an idiot and can't even use the right "know". 6000 mph is a speed that the X-15 or a spacecraft does, not something in the lower atmosphere does.

  • Anyone no the U.S. Railed vehicle that went over 6000 mph

  • what 6000 mph????

  • maglev is not rail way train

  • omg

    Take me to TGV

    I wanna ride!

    s'il vous plait

    my dream train (:

  • stupid man, inside TGV you feel nothing, so is little beat borring, but plane is good, and you KNOW TGV CRUISE SPEED IS ONLY 320 kmh........so is true if he ride to +560 Kmh may by funny it wiill be

but how you will come to france cause you are in thailand, difficult to get an tourist visa !!!! ahahahahahahah

go to korea, they have french tgv.................

  • you have a peanut in the head please speack and think about the 11/09..

  • jerk

  • 2.06 LOL

  • sheer beauty!

  • I would love to have a train system that equals Europe. It would be nice to say "up yours" the air industry. Most Amtrak trains use diesel, if I'm not mistaken. Electric trains would save on gas, perhaps not energy, but would make for efficient train travel. At 350MPH, the wheels are barely touching the rails and it's basically air travel. Imagine a train that went from LA to New York at 350 MPH. Plus, Eurorail has so few accidents, much safer than train travel.

  • the wheels say on rail at 574.8 they say that it was incredible but there is no problem with that! your demonstration is ridiculous

  • To achieve that speed coast to coast would cost more money than I can think of! You'd need grade separation (imagine a driver going around gates to beat this guy), special track (expensive), and separate Right Of Way from freight lines that's very level and straight. That last part alone is prohibitively expensive enough to make that "project" firmly in the "Ain't gonna happen" files. In my opinion.

  • This is better than anything the USA has. I live in SoCal, the Feds have just announced 45 million to study a Maglev train from LA to Vegas. I hope we can start building futuristic technologies in travel modes here in the USA, we need it.

  • imagine two of these mofos crashing into each other head on (no passengers inside of course). the combined speed of 1100kmh. That'd be quite fascinating to observe.

  • standing on bridge and suddenly a massive train bypasses under you like like a bullet!!! what an extreme feel that could be? awesome... you would definetly get blown away (not literally:-)

  • DJnuggethead ere. thsi is FAST!

  • Okay is fast...well done!

But how much energy feed for run at this speed???

    And noise polution???Safety???Coast???

    Only fast can do???

  • this train does not contaminate. it'electric power ! TGV is the train that waste less energy. For safety, this train runs every, day since 1998, at 200mp/h with no accident on high speed line!

  • No, the train doesn't directly emit contamination. It does indirectly. What the French have done (and the US with Acela) is to move the pollution source away from the rails to the power plants (whatever kind) instead.

  • @krashno It uses the electricity from the French grid. Something like 75% of France's electricity generation is from the nuclear plants => the train is mostly nuclear powered leaving nuclear waste and risking a Chernobyl/Fukushima someday. As does the rest of the France.

  • The highest technological usable speed of trains is arround 350 km/h on wet rails. The ICE-Velaro is the only commercial train which is able to do so (max speed. 408 km/h). The only commercial available maglev is the transrapid, that is able to go 550 km/h in commercial use. The japanese maglev did only test drives. It's won't be ready for commercial use the next years either and it's speed will be much lower when it operates with passengers on commercial guideways. The same as TGV.

  • you're wrong Cre7tiv! In 1988 a normal TGV (the Atlantique one with no modification) runned at 408km/h (official world record). Even Germany is hesitating in buying Ice or AGV( the new TGV : 360km/h -225mp/h)So i don't think that this record is useless.

  • i ment what a fast train sry!

  • what?

  • wow that is fast.

  • i think its not too stable...

  • This will get me to work on time, that's what I need, Thank you France:)

  • The maglev is an experimental train, which hovers above the rails and it can speed up to 700 km/h,however maglev is using future technologies and the TGV is using todays and todays trains wont go faster than this

  • Yeah but still is european (german) technology which is a good thing...

  • the fastest is 581 km by japanese maglev, french is secound

  • awesome

  • transrapid is expensive and not safe...

  • We have a Transrapid-test-track as long as in China 30 km from my home. The next commercial track will be in Munich. Just for information: 23th of August is "decision-day". There is no doubt, that the conclusion will be adopted. Preliminary Plannings are completed, construction will beginn in 2008. And there are further potential buyer. Also Japanes will be ready for maglev in several years. It's time for new technologies.

  • Alstom still needs weels. Siemens doesn't.

  • Siemens needs wheels too with their ICE(who is a poor technology compar to the TGV and AGV), Maglev is still experimental whereas it is in use in china on 30KM track, do you know that chinese don't want to build a new track for the transrapid because there is a probleme on the health for the population who is in in the vicinity?

  • and it is a very expensive construction....you are so jealous it is fun lol

  • remember the eschede disaster?? siemens wheels.

i dont remember a tgv with a cracked wheel.

  • i went on that from paris to milan its sooooooo fuking fast that its scary.LOL

  • classic TGV can run more than 404km/h... be sure of it!!

and this is the sncf who choose the speed on the east line.. alstom can do the 350 now! don t be jealous!!

  • bsoft16483: No, you confound something. It was an ordinary ICE-Velaro, which made the 404 km/h speed-record for serial-trains, no special test-conditions and the speed was reached at the very first time between Barcelona and Madrid. They underline that it can still go faster. The planned cruising speed will be 350 km/h. The old speed-record of serial-trains was 368 km/h made by ICE3 in 2000. Look also Siemens-com#. Asltom (TGV) technology is still not able for steady states over 320 km.

  • TGV is the fastest and safest train on rails in the world, stop being jalous and know that is not the TGV TECH but the futur AGV TECH of 2008 that you

are seeing who will travel all the time at 360KM/h. That's why he is modified.

AGV will be more advanced than your ICE.

The only reason because TGV or AGV don't go as fast as 500KM/h is because it is not economically viable whereas ICE is limited to about 400KM/h.

So learn more about it before post stupidities like i see on many comments.

  • Actually the german ICE-Velaro is the fastest serial-train in the world. Without spectacle it is able to run (251mph/404 kmh) -- every day, every hour. This TGV ran under test-condition, special preparation, abnormal 30.000 V High-Voltage and special tracks. The test-train was outweared after 10-Min. and with 30 Mio. Euro a one-way-ticket is a little bit too expensive. Old technic boosted up for one time. Alstom needs years to follow Siemens-technology to compete with the brandnew ICE-Velaro.

  • haha dude the tgv is really loud on the outside, as much as a plane man. Inside is another deal, its really quiet and pleasant.

  • Vive la france !!

  • WHOA! I love that bit @1:25 when that beast passes the bridge! TGV beats the shit out of the crappy ICE here in Germany, and it's even safer! Remember the ICE-Crash in '98? 101 people dead due to bad wheel design. TGV casualties so far: 0. VIVE LA FRANCE!

  • i hav watched so any documentys on that crash

  • Nice, but 30 Mio. Euro for 10 Minutes is pretty costly. Even the normal voltage is only 24.000 Volt, this train needed 30.000 Volt and special tracks. Nothing which is useful in practice, highly dangerous. I prefer the Transrapid for speeds over 400-500 km.

  • Ah ah Geno2733 you're funny, in a democraty you do not control people. Maybe usa forget that...

  • that was insane!

  • impressive speed, but have they thought yet how to prevent a train from dis-railing? fast and the dangerous.

  • brilliant i would love a ride in that .

  • every video I watch on youtube theres some fucking stupid argument going on that just isn't related to the video lol..

    Very impressed with this train.

  • The french continue to make high speed transit, yet they can't control their own people... What a world we live in. Awesome speed, though.

  • Can't control their own people? I prefer a government that doesn't try to control their own people. Where do you live?

  • Perfect answer

  • stfu you toolbeater

  • The jet sound is the camera aircraft above the TGV, they needed a jet to keep up with it. Its not noisey inside a TGV, I've been on one and the ICE in germany, the cabins a pressurised (i think) cause the air pressure changes when the doors close.

  • this is aweful. unlimited P O W E R...

    Lucky french people.

  • 25,000 bhp *drool*

  • that cant stop at a dime

  • i wouldnt want to ride that train omg and its so loud

  • It's not. This prototype only. When you're in it or even next to it it's not the noise it makes at all currently. My father thakes the TGV everyday btw... ;-)

    Well done!

  • i dont wanna get hit by this shit

  • just think what would happen if it derailed!!!

  • yea...youd think they find a new technology (mag-lev) instead of 1800 tracks

  • very true and i would think it is easier to de-rail since its going so fast. the mag-lev would be safer like trains in asia

  • DAMN THING SONDS LIKE A JET

  • I wish we could get these in America to replace Amtrak....Would be my favorite form of long distance traveling...I can do a trip that normally takes 5 to 6 hours in under 2 hours on this thing

  • Actually (unless you're on the Northeast Corridor), it would be closer to 30 minutes on that thing. ;-)

  • What the aich-ee-double-toothpicks are you guys talking about?! I don't think this train is involved in any war..

  • Wow.. that is quick, they've got to think about keeping fast trains covered as in underground or in tubes, or very well fenced off... a object at those speeds on the ground in the open can only mean disaster

  • KEE-RIST! & we think Richard Branson is doing well trying to get the Pendolino doing 135MPH

  • HOLY $H1T!!!

  • WHOAAAAA i want to drive that train xDDD

  • brilliant!!!

  • awesome....usa has nothing comparable.

  • All that United States think is War. US will be retarted in 2 Decade...

  • Nice English dumbass.

  • and all politician think about is war. if it wasnt for the US france wouldnt be doing anything, ever.

  • don't forget the also help finance the countries that lost or simply gave up during the wars

  • what does this have to do with the US? moron.
