they failed true ninja if aquireing enemy plans which is what the book represented would have gotten in and out without being seen at all this means watching each guards patrol pattern and waiting for each of them to make 2 or three full circuits so you can get a feel for each guards pattern then time your entrance and escape to match while takeing into account any and all places you could be spotted

@ninjadude126 I think the 2 guys get killed because to show that Ninja is still beatable even with that kind of exercise and equipment.. they had to fight is merely to entertain us, this is a show, they must show what Ninja can do including fighting. and why would they need to get rid of the bodies? back then even if you throw the bodies to river or even burnt them, the Shogun or any group or country who is the victim know that it's the cause from Ninjas (or at least from their enemy).

It is hilarious how bad this show is. Every one of the "ninja" would have been seen and killed. The battle was so staged and most of the info in the show is wrong. That makers of this show are the biggest dumbasses ever.

@papaburger to use poison you need to get close to your target, it probably would take more planning and information just to get the poison to the guards then it would to just get the book.

@schizoidboy how about using poisonous snakes . Also a long blow gun or pistol crossbow can deliver the poison out to 20 yards.

@papaburger The problem with snakes is they only bite when they are provoked and they can just as easily bite the person handling them. Moreover with crossbows and blow guns if you have to get in that close to twenty yards you might be better off using snipers, who in some ways are probably better then ninjas in terms of stealth and strike only at long ranges.

Whatever do you mean? I think the totally black pajamas in a crystal clear swimming pool, swimming in an awkward position and shoot with a 12" "blowgun" to take down a guard with xtreme high blood pressure, to then continue the mission in fully soaked clothing ans squishy shoes is the best mission plan ever.
