I can't believe there're ppl trying to compare Radiohead with U2 and Coldplay lol. They sound so different, you can't compare them. And no, Coldplay doesnt sound anything like Radiohead. I should know because I'm a big fan of all 3 bands and I've either heard or own the entire catalogue of all 3 bands. It all comes down to personal preferance here and for me its Radiohead. I honestly think, given Thom's background on environmental matters, I think this song seems like it is about ignoring the warnings of our actions, destroying the earth and wiping out populations.
