He was killed because he was an inconvenience, not because the US decided to “do the right thing”. Other nations gave the US token forces for diplomatic reasons. They were at most apathetic to the war.

Unlike a lot of hardcore or metal bands, whenever Tim McIlrath screams, it gives a very strong message. That's why I love Rise Against. Their songs are more than Punk/Hardcore, they're speeches about how much humans are so greedy.

@themightychickens actually it does. things like alcohol and the chemicals in cigarettes will ruin your vocal chords. thats why vocalists who live straight edge lives and dont do it all the time are always better. i guarantee you he couldnt scream if he smoked frequently.

@fatescure it doesnt make more sense. if they have weak vocal chords from smoking screaming will be out of the question. they wouldnt be able to hold a decent scream and would crack throughout it. listen to some death metal bands or core bands, their screamers do not smoke

after seeing them live in copenhagen and they played help is on the way i have changed my mind a bit it's a good live song in my opinion
