  • It pisses me off how no one in the mainstream music industry writes songs only about how much money and women they have, let alone express emotion, I have friends who listen to mainstream rap, hip hop and dub step *shudders*. They think all music like Rise against's are just thrashing around and screaming, they will never understand because they haven't been educated on the world and how shitty society is by Rise Against like I have :\

  • You dumbasses will never stop arguing. Just Herp a frickin Derp already and shut up.

  • @Spielmeister456 Fueling the fire with gasoline disguised as a water bucket doesn't help extinguish the fire, now does it?

  • @themightychickens you should write poetry

  • what yall dont understand is would you wanna fight them in our back yard or theres? personally i say fuck em all!! they wanna play with the big dogs then they get bit!! they wanna attack us and think nothing is gonna happen!?! think again jackson!! oh and dontshoottheyeti we ARE NOT THE ENEMY THEY ARE!!

  • I love the aggression in this song, it makes me want to scream a big FUCK YOU into every politicion that started this fucking war and also sream this song in their face

  • I wish I could scream like Tim.

  • I now have the pleasure of presenting to you, President Obama's theme song...........

  • Thumbs up if you're here because you're pissed off that you'll be forced to have a Timeline on Facebook...or is it just me!!!?

  • State of the Union going on right now....... Wish Rise Against would bust the fuck in and play this song :]

  • Punk Rock was tighter when George Bush was president

  • @badreligion tighter? fag

  • @yankeessuck1138 Abort yourself faggot.

  • This is harder than Punk

  • @phi1s0n That's why it's called HARDCORE Punk, mate.

  • I'm pretty sure Rise Against was pissed off when they wrote this song. We should start pissing them off more... >:)

  • hardcore punk is the best!!!

  • ...this song needs a music video...it's just that bad ass..

  • @superking95 so fucking right ._.

  • @lestersexiimess get skullcandy hesh headphones, they kick ass, im listening to this with them right now, full blast

  • this song makes me wanna burn the White House to the Fucking ground !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Headcase1591 In this case, it's not just the White House, it's the people. People are concerned about some shitty actor or singer that died peacefully while soldiers are over seas dying, and it never crosses our minds. Don't burn shit, because in the end they'll fail and we'll roll our eyes because we saw it coming.

  • @astrophysics1997 I'm not sure if your comment is directed at me or more i am a pathway to a comment to the sheepeople who are so blind as to not see the US government ebbing away there liberties?.. and "they" will only fail so long as the people are not idle “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.” Thomas Jefferson....... in any case music can invoke emotion and this song "for me" invokes anger and dissent i.e. my original comment....

  • @Headcase1591 I'm calling back the British. I'm sure they'd be happy to burn it down again.

  • ... my fucking speakers, will not, play loud enough

  • Comment removed

  • @lestersexiimess My earphones haven't broke because of the volume yet, so they aren't playing loud enough.

  • best song ever§!

  • The only time scream doesn't give me a headache is when Rise Against is doing it. Not biased against other hardcore/scream bands because RA is my favorite band. It's true. Period.

  • Love this song. It's so damn badass!

  • /watch?v=t2mgfatNBpM Compare the intros wtf? Almost the same...

  • do not blame bush for the war, if you don't remember we were attack on 9/11. he was forced in to an extremely difficult dicision because if he did not respond with a military action against a nation that would have said to are enemies "go ahead and attack us we dont care, we let the radical muslims destroy to major buildings in NY with out any consequences to their nation" i ask you if we didn't go to iran what would the russians or chinese have done?

  • @octoron87

You're uninformed, stupid, ignorant and brainwashed.

I'm not even going to argue with you.

  • @paintball164 Actually he's right on some parts of it. Bush wasn't to blame for the war considering any president would have made the same call or risk impeachment. I'm sure no one forgot how people of this country reacted to the tragedy.

  • @octoron87 You're retarded. Not everyone is out to get us. A whole country is not made of radical muslims.

  • @octoron87 Do you know why we were attacked. Because the US is the terrorists. I love the usa but what we are doing is wrong. We are in their country imposing our laws and telling them how to live our life. Yes, their terrorist acts are definitely wrong but thats their way or dealing with what we are doing. Yes, we you cant blame bush. Hes just one man with tons of organizations behind him. He cant just do what he wants.

  • thank god for freedom of speech xD. if anyone does anything to RA the lyrics then they can go fucking die.....and they would.

  • For thge people saying blaming bush is outdated... this song was made in 2004. idiots

  • Words cannot describe how much I love this song

  • "Guilty is what our graves will read - no years, no families. We did nothing to stop the murder of people just like us."

Facebook status on 11/11/11. Hopefully others might also think about it.

  • soo much meaning in just 2:20 min.. much more meaning than the whole time that bush was president anyways -.-

  • i think instead of having a military to fight the rich man's war, the president should go mud wrestling with the other world leaders, now THAT would be something to actually watch the news about

  • I really dont care who blames who at this point but the beginning of this song is so FUCKING AWSOME!!

  • blaming bush is just over kill at this point

  • everyone who blame bush for everything should know that A he was unlucky with 9/11 and how congress has more power then the president yes some probliems came from bush but most was congress and luck

  • @assmeyouokay imma kill you for real

  • damn u woman still crying about bush going to war...... fuckn panseys hey guess what osama attacked us... do nothing about it?????? pussy ass librals should be shot.. dont think u would think the same if u had a family member in one of the towers u fuckn kooks.

  • @umbora You sir, are what I like to call a stuipd ignorant American.

  • @umbora

Osama attacked us, let's go attack Iraq. Just forget that it's the wrong country.

Don't forget that United States has killed its own share of innocents and the fact that it helped the Taliban rise to power.

September 11 was ten years ago, move on.

  • @ZetsubouMFZB Dude, I know that you probably don't care but something like 9/11 isn't exactly something that people have an easy time of moving on from. Nearly 3,000 Americans died that day and I was only 7 when it happened but I know that I’m never gonna let that go. Also Sadam was a pretty damn big problem in the world and needed to be taken out, so we went into Iraq along with the Poles, the Britts, the Ausies and some Mexican forces (I think the French were there too).

  • @GanGreenSkittle

There is no reason to dwell on it any longer. Americans paint 9/11 as some large turning point in human history when it is not. While the loss human life is regrettable, do not believe that because it happened to your, our, country, that it is more significant than any other attack on other people. Iraqi civilian casualties are higher than the number lost on 9/11. An American life is worth just as much as any other human life and yet too many Americans do not see this.

  • @GanGreenSkittle

Saddam could have been eliminated numerous times, there was no need to start such a costly war. Remember, that America actually helped Saddam during the Iran-Iraq war. He was killed because he was an inconvenience, not because the US decided to “do the right thing”. Other nations gave the US token forces for diplomatic reasons. They were at most apathetic to the war.

  • @umbora angry american much?

  • @umbora Too bad your own government is just as corrupt as a communist government. Have you even looked at your government?! Fuck Bush and fuck the US government.

  • @975mas never said i didnt agree with you. people need to get over bush. ..... obama is far worse and has done much more harm to us then bush ever could.. we are weak as hell rite now.... we have no money we have iran to deal with we have lybias people to deal with. and the list goes on... none would fuck with us because of bush.... some radicals were bent that us and isriael allied up.(911) was not the us gov... u think russia would fear us with obama as pres? not at all. our pres is weak

  • This is my mosh pit song, along with Stained Glass and Marble.

  • i like the words but wish they were SUNG ;'( dont get me wrong, i love some screaming, but only as an accent to a song, to emphisize, to add to, not the entire song....its also really short... :(

  • Unlike a lot of hardcore or metal bands, whenever Tim McIlrath screams, it gives a very strong message. That's why I love Rise Against. Their songs are more than Punk/Hardcore, they're speeches about how much humans are so greedy.

  • @JamshiLovesROCK try verse, have heart, earth crisis and heaven shall burn. And their screams are good live, in contradiction to rise against. Before you people start bitching, i like rise against and i like the vocals of the singer, but his screams fail live. I saw rise against live (more than once), and everytime they played this song, they fucked it up...

  • I think i just found my new favorite song!

  • Brb, gotta get new headphones, this one's are not loud enough.

  • @BrBoomr headphones? DAMN MAN, MY WHOLE SCHOOL CAN'T SUPPLY ENOUGH SPEAKERS! xD

  • Budapest?!

  • Holy shit, Tim must've been bleeding out of his throat after this song...

  • @Fallingangel100 i know right, you can say the same for all of the 2009 ep, witht he exception of death blossoms all of it is screaming, and detah blossoms is at least 60% scremaing, hey hes the only scream i enjoy, the rets just sound like noise

  • @jsh020 Slipknot is pretty good at screamo though...Cory (lead singer of slipknot) and Tim (lead singer of rise against) are the best at screamo (in my opinion).

  • @Fallingangel100: I know!! XD I could never do it. It would destroy my vocal cords.

  • Better than the screamo crap.

  • best song to head bang to... ever.

  • i like the part where i say something and then get highest rated comment

  • damn the song was a bit of a mess but im taken in by the sheer emotion and powerful that is the shit!

  • i actually like BVB, i think they're a really good band and they have alot of talent.. but in my book rise against is definetly better just saying

  • does tim play guitar? or is he just the vocalist?

  • @BlastFromYesterday He does rhythm guitar and vocals, but in live shows he just sings for a lot of the songs. Not all, though.

  • Wow! They were pretty hardcore!! Theyre still good, but that was baddass!! Rise Against!!

  • What's BVB? I know what BFMV is but no idea what BVB. By mentioning the other band in the same breath it probably sucks as well.

  • @sbcistheboss Black Veil Bride. Never bothered to listen to them, considering that everyone I know says they suck, badly. But yeah.

  • @Drasherofbananas Thanks. Now that you say the name I think I heard it before.

  • Gotta love this album.

  • why are all the letters in the lyrics lowercased? THIS MAKES NO SENSE!!!

  • This is a fine peace of REAL FCKING RISE AGAINST POWER!!!

  • I'm pretty sure he said that at a live concert. But it was something... This is to George Bush and his fucking war! Well, it was close to that.

  • @sbcistheboss At Big Day Out, yeah. /watch?v=llBEfIfBOvk

  • @themightychickens THANK YOU, so much I wanted to watch that after this! :) I know they did it live once and it sucked because Tim wasn't on guitar. Though I thought that the one At Big Day Out was done great for it live. Thanks again, Sir Mighty Chicken.

  • @sbcistheboss This is a fuck you to George Bush and his fucking war!............thats what he said.

  • BVB you mean black veiled brides and you try to say they are less gay then rise against! YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT? bvb is the most gay band ever even JB looks more mature and rise against is best of all. you fool!

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy You're gonna have to try harder than that. Your failed attempt at sarcasm ain't foolin' anyone.

  • @themightychickens hey mighty, this happens to be one of my annoying friends who bum off BVB, seriously dee, fuck off with your emo bands, i know her IRL.

  • @themightychickens I agree with you!

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy You suck! man this is a great song! If you dont like it, F*** YOU!

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy bfmv sucks major balls

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy Damn those bands are terrible and that band BVB look like a bunch of fags the way they dress.

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy bvb are some preattttttay big pussies...just saying, just cause you can't comprehend what Rise Against is about

  • @SmileyAndGrumpy You're comparing bands that are much more based around this genre with screaming, Rise Against is a PUNK BAND not post-hardcore, metalcore stuff like that. and both of those bands are terrible.

  • 5 M0:00RE time!!!!

  • This song should be the sing they play at the football games, not Fergie.

  • best intro in the world

  • i like the part where he screams :P

  • @thecrazy1231000 I like the part where he emits sound-waves.

  • @themightychickens lol i am in love with the first line

  • @themightychickens i love it when tim emits sound waves but when he screams i cum =P

  • @themightychickens big word...im scared lol just kidding

  • @ZaccyWaccyEfron @ZaccyWaccyEfron Nah, man, I was kidding. Don't panic! Tell your friends that, in fact, it wasn't Rise Against, but The Mighty Chicken - you just made a non-April Fools' joke, that's all.

  • @urbanvic Oh you...

  • @ZaccyWaccyEfron Nah, man, I was kidding. Don't panic! Tell your friends it wasn't that, in fact, it wasn't Rise Against, but The Mighty Chicken - you just made a non-April Fools' joke, that's all.

  • Someone said this is the worst song from this album and that i have terrible taste in music. I cockslapped him until his nose broke.

  • @ZaccyWaccyEfron Barely legible? everything is correctly spelled you should pass 5th grade English.

  • the guitar is AMAZING in this song

  • @greytree5 yeaahhh its so fuckin hard to play

  • Actually, the subtitles are made by you, "The Mighty Chicken". The way you put it in the end, it sounded like you made the song.

  • @urbanvic Yes I know, hence why I've left it out of all my newer videos. It does appear to be slightly silly.

  • @urbanvic wow way to be a smartass

  • sick vocals. that's what you get for being straight edge and vegan :)

  • @AmonOfTheSahelijos Wait, what? His voice has nothing to do with how he lives...

In fact, if he smoked, he would sound more like this.

  • @themightychickens what he's saying is Alcohol and Meats have acids in them that damage the vocal chords, making it hard to reproduce this sound.

  • @themightychickens actually it does. things like alcohol and the chemicals in cigarettes will ruin your vocal chords. thats why vocalists who live straight edge lives and dont do it all the time are always better. i guarantee you he couldnt scream if he smoked frequently.

  • @babaganush00 But his voice would be deeper if he did. That's my point, he would sound more like this.

  • @themightychickens you said his voice has nothing do with how he lives then you said if he smoked he would sound more like this. first of all you contradicted yourself and you were wrong in both your statements. and like i said if he smoked he wouldnt be able to scream so it wouldnt matter if his voice was slightly deeper he wouldnt be able to use it

  • @babaganush00 Hurp a durp, go molest a fly.

  • @themightychickens is this how you usually reply to being wrong? i wasnt even trying to act smart and now you look like a total douche cause you tried to act like you knew what you were talking about talking to that other kid but had no clue.

  • @babaganush00 What I'm trying to say is I don't care.

  • @themightychickens ok as long as you know you were wrong. just check your facts before you post something next time. oh and dont comment back if you really dont care

  • @babaganush00 Post scientifically studied evidence suggesting your assumptions are accurate or stfu.

  • @themightychickens i cant post the full link in this comment but google smoking's affect on singing and click on the second link which should be scene dot org. you can do the same for alcohol and click on the singing vocal health link about halfway down the page. i will be sending you those links in a message. also if you choose, you can use google scholar and find experiments conducted on this topic.

its a fact. i wouldnt say it if it wasnt. you made an assumption.

  • @babaganush00 i smoke, i'm pretty fluent... he was simply saying that his voice would be more scratchy if he smoked... like the steriotypically 80 year old smoker.... veganism and straight edge doesn't really have anything to do with it

  • @fatescure a scratchy voice doesnt mean good sounding screams. im sure he would sound more like a smoker if he smoked. thats usually what happens. what im saying is he wouldnt be able to scream. and what the owner of this video didnt know is that smoking and drinking are detrimental to singing and screaming so i dont think thats what he was trying to say. and like me and others have already said - living straight edge aka not smoking drinking all the time does affect your voice.

  • @babaganush00 if you say so... i would just make more sense in a way

  • @fatescure it doesnt make more sense. if they have weak vocal chords from smoking screaming will be out of the question. they wouldnt be able to hold a decent scream and would crack throughout it. listen to some death metal bands or core bands, their screamers do not smoke

  • @babaganush00 Chester Bennington. Point and match. I agree with you for the most part, but there are exceptions :-)

  • @myrridin obviously there are exceptions. you can survive cancer but its proven to be detrimental, obviously. i never said if you smoke and drink no matter what your voice will be shit i said you're better off without it. and answer me this: whos better at screaming and singing - old chester or new? thought so.

  • @babaganush00 how are you so sure of that? KoRN's John Davis smokes like crazy and his voice has no problems. And as myrridin said, Chester's the same way, but add a layer of booze on top of it, and the meth he did in high school.

  • @fireemblem723 its scientifically proven that it affects your voice. because there are two people who it affects less does not mean it isnt true. im not saying that there can be people who still smoke and drink and be able to sing ok what im saying is that it helps to not do those things. your voice will infinitely be better. name me a korn song where the lead singer screams like tim does in this song. they dont do it very often so singing wise he can live with it. as for chester how many

  • @fireemblem723 songs do you hear him screaming in now? thought so.

  • Tim rocks at Screaming. Alot because of him not eating meat, not drinking, and not smoking. Those all mess up the vocal chords. Im not a vegan, but i still respect vegans

  • This is probably the most catchy hardcore song I've ever heard :)

  • fuck obama

  • @NoName1325 That's an amazing thing to say on a video for one of the most liberal bands in America... :P

  • Im seeing these guys live and this is the frist time iv ever listen to there music

  • awsome song... idk why people seem to think the evil american govt is after everyone though, if anything they do too much to try to help everyone and it fucks everything up in the end

  • this was when rise against were a fucking force to be reckoned with! im lucky i saw them live in this era with Cancer Bats and The Bronx. sick show, still hurts!

  • /Sarcasm ... I wonder what that means?

    /More sarcasm.

  • best breakdown ever

what great lyrics take that US government XD

  • best breakdown ever

  • 22 days till endgame!

  • @jackthwolf100 3 days!

  • Dedicated to GEORGE BUSH!

  • @Ri1seAgainst Might as well dedicate this to Obama as well. He promised us a lot of change, but I haven't seen much yet. We are still in Iraq, and have added another 30,000 soldiers to Afghanistan, not to mention basically a third war in Libya. He pussed out on the public option, and on the tax cuts for the rich. The economy is doing better, but the government spent a shitload of money to do it. Our debt is getting out of control, same as it was with Bush.

Obama is basically Bush. Just a

  • @Ri1seAgainst ...little smarter and less religious.

  • @Ri1seAgainst Are you serious?! So no other presidents get involved in war? Do yourself a favor and put the pipe down.

  • @bill3rdshift What are you talking about? He never mentioned in his four-word statement anything about other presidents not being involved in war. I can't find the logic in your argument.

  • @bill3rdshift stupid....stupid kid if you saw them live or even watch them live on youtube tim says before he sings this this song is dedicated to george bush just search this song live and other presidents have gone to war by direct attacks of countries not by a group of people we are police in afghanistan right now we are with their goverment against taliban groups that reside there. put the pipe down? as you said 14 yr old spastic irl child

  • @bill3rdshift In every live Tim has done of this song he says "Here is a song dedicated to one of the people we all know. George Bush"

  • @willroggero Actually when I heard him, he said "George FUCKING Bush" but close enough ;)

  • @Ri1seAgainst

    FUCK YEAH!

  • @Ri1seAgainst Dedicated to America my friend

  • Listening to this and then listening to Help Is On The Way makes me cry.

  • @BarrySTFUSrsly At how bad Help Is On The Way i sin comparison? Yeah, I agree.

  • @themightychickens I like help is on the way, im a huge rise against fan but i respect their decision to change their sound, i love the old and new rise against, they are both unique and awesome in my opinion

  • @Moochi96 yea the people who dont like the new rise against are the hardcore "purists" who are too stubborn to like anything other than hardcore stuff. their loss.

  • @Soccrfreak27 I dislike their new stuff (in comparison to their old stuff) and I generally dislike most hardcore bands. I'm not even remotely close to only liking one genre of music.

Sorry, but your theory is flawed.

  • @themightychickens yea what i said was flawed. there is the exception. but the majority of the people that ik that only like the old stuff are the people who were all black and were nail polish. and they happen to be guys. if you just dont like the new stuff okay, but i personally think it is pretty good. i think there is a palce for both the old and the new stuff,

  • @themightychickens old rise against and new rise against are both awesome. i've been a fan since RPM came out, and i love everything they've put out since then and before then. help is on the way is amazing, just like this song...can't wait for the new album! :)

  • @themightychickens u suck dik they r both great songs retard

  • @themightychickens what do you mean at how bad help is on the way is? that song is awesome

  • @darkvirus37 Well, I don't like it. That's all there is to it.

  • @themightychickens i have to admit that i wasn't a huge fan of help is on the way either... well i loved the lyrics but the music wasn't too good but that's just my opinion..

after seeing them live in copenhagen and they played help is on the way i have changed my mind a bit it's a good live song in my opinion
